Donald Trump erupted into a 'ballistic' Oval Office tirade against his senior staff for failing to fight off Sessions' recusal amid Russia links and told Priebus and Bannon they weren't flying on Air Force One to Florida, before storming out, reports have claimed.
The president was seemingly expecting a celebratory week following his praised speech to Congress on Tuesday but after a fresh round of Russia allegations, Trump was furious over the 'mini disaster' according to multiple accounts.
He was allegedly especially upset over Attorney General Jeff Sessions' decision to recuse himself from all FBI investigations regarding Russia on Thursday and took it out on his senior staff the next day. In his 'ballistic' rant, Trump gave his aides a verbal lashing and told chief of staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Stephen Bannon they wouldn't be accompanying him on Air Force One to Florida, before storming out on Friday.

You are mistaken about Priebus. Without his active involvement during primaries, Canada born Cruz was actively involved in stealing Trump delegates, and might have succeeded in resulting a brokered convention, had Priebus not put a stop to it.
1 - I am assuming Sessions would be a prosecution witness, either directly or through introduction of evidence where his communications were intercepted. 2 - I wasn’t even thinking of direct surveillance of Sessions, but of direct surveillance of Trump where Sessions knows he has had extensive communications with Trump that were probably intercepted. Sorry if I wasn’t clear about that.

I don’t know how many Freepers think the recusal was a GOOD thing. Some of us recognize that it was a NECESSARY thing.
Look at the duties of the White House chief of staff. Holding prior public office does nothing to support that role.
You’re saying Sessions would want to call himself as a fact witness before the grand jury?
To say what? He doesn’t have any personal knowledge to offer anyone as to whether or not his communications were tapped.
If Sessions himself was named as a Russian foreign agent in the FISA warrant, that would be one thing. Maybe, but so far it doesn’t sound like that’s the case.
It seems like he was just one of a large number of people, thousands, whom Trump and others in the Trump Tower called on the telephone.
Trying to imagine a situation in which Sessions’ testimony is relevant gets convoluted. In thinking about it, the one instance I can come up with is something along the lines of if, say, in order to justify a FISA warrant the DOJ fabricated a transcript of a non-existent call between Sessions and the Russians in which Sessions agreed to act as a foreign agent, and in that case you would want to put Sessions on the stand to deny that such a call ever occurred.
I wonder, did Sessions even discuss with Trump that he was recusing himself, and did Trump OK it?

I will pray for the President who was given his position for the time at hand. The enemy is uncloaking and their allegiances are being revealed. He would be wise to seek out those who could not work under the previous administration and ask them to come back, especially the generals.

Everthing they write is either an outright lie, or presented with a “spin” intended to make the reader believe the opposite of what is true.

Whether this is true or not... I’d be apt to go ballistic if it were me who heard Sessions recuse. He’s IT for Trump’s justice dept.. I don’t think Trump was on top of it either.. It didn’t sound like Trump was talking to Sessions yet when he recused ... but Sessions must have thought he was doing the right and honorable thing. The problem with being honorable when you are the only one being honorable... you get beat up that way! It’s wise to not give an inch and fight it all the way... then if the President wants you to recuse, he’ll tell you. Sessions said he had been given advice to recuse... but it could have come from the swamp that is still there. When will they get rid of all obama’s hold overs, hangers on... I’d operate on a limited help if had to.. but get rid of them.. and demand... DEMAND.. they get his cabinet all voted for and in... if they still delayed, I’d do a special signing to get it done.
And Fox is giving the dems their share of time... and that might be okay if the dems were telling the truth.. as it is, they lie ... cut them off when you know they are lying... I don’t think Fox should let them tell the public what is not the truth in this case... this is unheard of, that obama just might be in deep trouble... so don’t let the left lie about it!! and make it sound like obama is, once again, right and protected.
Could be a setup to find out who is leaking everything? Fake a ‘fight’ within eavesdropping distance then just wait.
I didn’t mean to suggest prior public office. But any experience getting things done in the federal government bureaucracy would be good—rather than having to get up to speed on all that from zero.
Priebus has just been a party guy. And of course is a Ryan/Pence/GOPe guy—rather than loyal to Trump and Trump’s agenda.
Would Sessions make a move like recusal without consulting the President? If he did, no wonder Trump was mad.
My guess? Fake news deliberately disseminated by the Trump team to help them identify leakers.
