Saw this press conference. AG Sessions has decided to recuse himself "from any investigations related to the Trump campaign".
I felt it was a very weak performance by AG Sessions, by the way.
[That little grin of his, also is disconcerting. I want a scowling, angry AG, not a grinning one.]
Christie would have ripped the heads off these liberal reports and snacked on them as appetizers.
Then why the need to recuse himself? You cannot give an inch to these people.
BUt he’s a lawyer and he knows once you say “yes” or “no”, you’re liable for perjury. You would prefer that?
If you don’t recall, you don’t say yes or no.
Even Hillary knows this.
While I wish he’d have been more succinct and definitive, I recognize that’s not his style. He seems a very affable guy.
IMHO Jeff Sessions did just fine.
I got the sense that Sessions is a decent man, I got the sense that Sessions was telling the truth.
However, the performance was purely pathetic. We needed a fire-and-brimstone preacher to come out and tell the media to STOP LYING and explain exactly what the lie was.
What we got was a grinning guy who said “I don’t recall” too much, and who even said something like “Maybe I should have answered differently.”
Sessions is now on life support. He could have put this to bed, instead, he jacked it up on Red Bull energy drink.
Giuliani was my first choice for AG as well.
The Republicavians are never going to change. They are what they are.

Sessions stated he doe snot have all his staff, then states he took the advice from his staff which are all Obama left overs then.
Now he hands this over to another obama appointee.
WTH is this crap? Get some guts, and stand firm. Not once did I ever see the left ask for Holder, or Lynch recuse or step down.
When “Daddy” gets back in DC, he should show Sessions how one deals with the press.
I am probably in the minority here, but I think recusal is the proper thing to do. Appoint an independent prosecutor to look into this nothing burger and while he is at it he can appoint an independent prosecutor to look into the Clinton scandals, the IRS scandals, and a dozen other scandals that Obama’s justice department should have refused themselves.
As long as there are allegations that the AG might be involved in a scandal then it is proper to recuse yourself. Set an example for others to follow.
Sessions spent his entire lifetime building an honest reputation. The accusations by his detractors are a scandal in and of themselves. I will not join in any chorus criticizing him.
For him to capitulate on this, he will NEVER EVER go after Obama, Holder, Clinton etc.
He seemed to be nervous and defensive, never on the offense.
We now basically have a impotent AG.
Anybody recall Eric Holder recusing HIMSELF regarding ANYTHING?!?

He needs a makeover. Put some Baptist Preacher by his side, as his teacher. He needs to be fire-and-brimstone.
