A single propaganda photograph of the North Korean leader appears to give away more about the secretive nation than its security officials might like.

Professionals analysing North Korea can pinpoint the location of the photographs and even the date they were taken depending on how fat he is.

I have a friend who originally came from the Soviet Union who actually went to North Korea in order to get inside of Kim Jong il's brain.

It was a disturbing place-as I'm sure his son's is.

I suspect spooks are rattling Kim's cage and also making the case that N. Korean nuclear missile is a real deadly threat.

I always caution people not to laugh when NK rockets and missiles fail. I am a recovering aircraft engineer. You learn just as much from failure as you do success. How many failures did Von Braun have?

Agreed. NK may be pushing things and advancing by fits and starts (in contrast to say Iran which is being disturbingly methodical)... But that doesn’t mean NK is not a threat. This looked like a pretty successful launch of a road mobile canister based weapon, cold gas ejection and all...
