I have friends who have cancer and they now using it, like you.

They never smoked or touched the stuff but, find themselves in a situation that requires it.

Prilosec, PeptoBismal, Xanax and many other drugs just don’t work for many people.

Besides, Cannabis won’t make you constipated and shitting an actual brick, that sounds like a boulder dropped in the toilet, unlike opiods, which will turn your crap into something you have dig out of your anus.

Plus, you gain a new appreciation for pizza, Doritos and ice cream...

the FedGov still tried to make a pretense of following Constitutional limits.

That was my point in saying that by 1970 Constitutional thought “had evolved”. The best example of this evolution was the fact that to outlaw alcoholic beverages, a Constitutional Amendment was felt to be required to give Congress the power to do so. Today, no one thinks such a thing is necessary for Congress to outlaw anything. Even the anti gunners don’t really believe they need to repeal the 2nd, just find a sympathetic judge (or five) to rule their way.

I have friends who are extraordinarily wealthy, as in private jet money wealthy.

They smoke the stuff and are very productive, sharp as a tack and hold a constructive and complicated discussion, even with those whose views are not aligned with theirs.

You have seen people who abuse a substance, which wholly different from casual or recreational use.

They need to be in a program or make a decision about what is important in their lives.

See, I have friends who have cancer, in remission and they also looked to cannabis as an alternative to Xanax and similar drugs, which can just sap your energy as they turn you emotionally gray...

>Ruh Roh. Many people aren’t going to like this and it will destroy some of the crossover voting Trump got.

Yep. Congress should act to make an exception for states that have legalized. Sessions will follow the law.

I did work toward that in California.

I don’t smoke the stuff but, given our friendly banter over the years I assume you are making a friendly dig.

The next step is national and it just makes sense, like repealing the 18th amendment.

Everyone became a criminal under the 18th and I think most people would agree it was wrong and Elliot Ness only became who was because of it, as did Capone and his ilk.

Once the 18th was repealed the criminal element and associated industries largely disappeared.

Although it did give us Kennedy....or Kennedy’s...(not the hottie on FoxBusiness)

>Pot has ruined more lives than just about any other drug. Lost motivation, lost career prospects lost self respect.

If you want to motivate men your best recourse is to restore the patriarchy and give them families that their wives can’t destroy. Families motive men, people turning to pot is just a byproduct of our dysfunctional family system.

Welcome to the year 2017 where you no longer have to smoke cannabis to use it. You can vaporize it, infuse cannabis into food or snack or take the full flower oil vs smoking it.

Btw, Cheech & Chong of the 60’s & 70’s don’t really represent cannabis use in 2017. Folks like this do though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNT8Zo_sfwo

That video you probably won’t watch shows how an elderly man with Parkinson gets almost immediate symptom relief using full cannabis oil.

“I know you smoke every day but could quit anytime you want to.”

I do not smoke cannabis (or anything else) every day. I hate smoking cannabis. I don’t like the taste at all of cannabis when I’ve smoked it. We make canna oil, infused with cannabis & make sugar free cookies. THAT is what I use daily.

>Your experience and love affair with pot is not everyone’s experience. Pot is addictive as hell. I know you smoke every day but could quit anytime you want to. I believe you.

The vast majority of pot users are pretty casual. The pot heads are about 1-5% of the total.

Peace be with your friends who have cancer now & always. I hope cannabis gives them all the relief they need for what is ailing them.

Myself, I don’t get the munchies. Some food does taste a LOT better when I am medicated but I never feel a compulsion to eat munchie/junk food. After losing 70 lbs in 2015 (11 months of that year using cannabis) I’ve got really good self control when it comes to knowing when it’s time to put the fork down. Thankfully :)

Nope. Are you drinking alcohol now?

Nice little sarcasm there. I didn’t like it when obumber chose which laws he would enforce and which ones he wouldn’t. And I don’t think Trump or Sessions should do it ether. If the laws are unconstitutional, then change them through the courts or what ever means you see fit. What you don’t do is allow some temporary politician to decide what is legal and what is illegal. There has to be some continuity one administration to the next. Otherwise you can kiss any semblance of a Constitutional Republic good bye. Because at some point, the admin will decide the new law is his/her administration is permanent.

You eat your space cookies every day. So at some point every day you are stoned for hours on end. So it was a fair question. I do not drink every day. I am not drinking now but you stoners make me want to.

Changing Federal law is not the solution. The Federal government has no authority to make laws of these sort, and never did. To try to change the law is to admit that they have the authority, but they do not.

So do you want every federal regulation enforced, all 10 gazillion of them, or just the ones you want enforced. Fair question that you dodged.

You also dodged the 10th Amendment issues. Why, do you not like that Amendment?

Trump is in favor of medical marijuana and leaving recreational decisions up to the states => https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOpgIDMV07o

So is Trump leading the nation to moral and cultural rot?
