TUCSON, Ariz. – Customs and Border Protection officers at Arizona’s Lukeville Port of Entry arrested a 30-year-old man on Feb. 21 wanted in the state of Washington for “escape from community custody.”

Zeferino Alaniz Balderas was a passenger in vehicle returning from Puerto Penasco, Mexico. When officers asked both occupants for identification, Balderas stated that his identification had been stolen. As a result, officers directed the driver to a secondary inspection area.

Maybe some of the pastors who worship at the social justice altar can leave the houses unlocked at night and welcome some of these ‘sojourners’ into their homes since they believe we should leave our borders unlocked.

Exactly!!

Let the ‘pastors’ who belong to California’s “Rapid Response Team” house a few of these ‘sojourners’.

I’d love to know if these so-called pastors lock their doors, at night.

Prior to "El Trump", the ROE from Obama for Customs and Border Protection were probably to wave the car on.

Not any more, Paco.

So he gets a free trip back to where he came from.

I had to look up where Lukeville Arizona was. It is on the border with Sonoyta Mexico. I think the agents live in Ajo, Arizona from what I have read. Not much there at Lukeville. Glad to see that the agents are on their toes.

I've always known that the outstanding agents of the USCBP wanted to and would do a Stirling job of enforcing our laws. Way to go, agents. HOLD THE LINE!!!

It is also interesting that the communications systems are so advanced today where someone
at the Border in Arizona can in short order check the various law enforcement systems across
the USA and find the info that this guy was wanted in another state.

Seriously?! WTF did he think was going to happen when he presented himself at the POE? What an idiot.

Exactly what happened, he got a free trip back to Washington where the illegal loving governor will likely apologize, order him released and give him free taxpayer money.

Let me explain what “Escape from Community Custody” warrant from the WA D.O.C. is actually.

When convicted if certain offenses in WA State you can be ordered under the supervision of the WA State Dept. of Corrections for the period of time you are not in prison (could get 6 yrs but judge gives you 3 +3 yrs community supervision.)

The suoervision will have behavioral stipulations (no alcohol no illegal drugs no criminal arrests no hanging out with gang members no possession of weapons....etc)

Also...depending on the crime and your status of supervision you may be ordered to physically report to your DOC supervising agent in person once a week...every 3rd day...and via phone every so often.

Any violation of any of these terms can result in a warrant issuance for your arrest.

The warrant will be “Felony, Escape from Community Custody, No Bail” in most cases although in rare cases it is a misdemeanor warrant...usually due to a pleading down of the original offense from a felony.

These warrants are very common although not as common as they were 10 years ago.

State budget cutbacks to DOC have made state supervision very rare.

In fact as of 5 years ago (not sure if has changed back yet) just being convicted of Assault 2 with a weapon would not be enough to get community supervision uess you were a verified gang member or it was a sex crime.

This warrant suspect will not be extradited to WA unless he faces significantly more prison time for a case that had be put in abeyance.
