Barbara Pierce Bush, the daughter of former President George W. Bush, will headline a Planned Parenthood fundraiser next week in Texas, according to a report from the Texas Tribune.

Bush is expected to be the keynote speaker at the Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas's annual Fort Worth fundraising luncheon.

President Bush pushed for anti-abortion policies during his time in the White House, but his wife Laura Bush has supported legal abortion in the past.

The announcement comes amid the continuing debate over federal funding for Planned Parenthood, which provides a variety of reproductive health services to women, including abortions.

Barbara Bush is the CEO and co-founder of Global Health Corps and called Planned Parenthood an "exceptional organization" last year in an interview with the New York Times. Bush also attended an event for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in Pari

Dubya was and always will be a standup guy. Let's give him credit for being pro-life, and not blame him for his daughter's pro-choice position. Although abortion is not a religious issue, for families whose (various) religions are not pro-life, the pro-life position is a lonelier one because there is not objective authority to which the pro-lifer in the family can appeal.

The fraudulent “Conservative Movement” Republican Establishment artificial turf drove me to vote for Donald Trump last year.

He’s President but the insiders are still inside the Beltway in the GOP and I mean 99 percent of the elected GOP members of Congress and more.

Trump may cut deals with them but I will always have zero respect for them and offer them zero support.

I hope that Barbara Pierce Bush is good at raising money for Planned Parenthood because they are going to need it when federal funds are pulled out.

Sen. Prescott Bush was the first treasurer of the group that later became known as Planned Parenthood.

Reagan received a lot of pressure from the republican party to put moderate GHWB on the ticket. GHWB was pro-choice before being added to the ticket. He flipped like it was no big deal. Obviously, he had no real convictions either way on the issue.

We’d be better off without the Bush family ever finding their way to Washington.

Elitist globalists. Don’t care if they were born in Texas. They are a family of Yankee traders who moved to Texas.

Traitors is right!!! I hate the Bush family and it sickens me that so many people are in the dark about their globalist intentions. Remember when 43 called Clinton a "brother from another mother"? Their incestuous relationship with the Clinton's is absolutely sickening!

The Bush (bitch) daughters who are pro-abortion can rot in hell with the rest of their disgusting American sell-out family.

Are you kidding? W left us with $6 trillion more in debt. We just haven’t received our portion the bill yet.

We’d been better off without the lame tax cuts and fiscal responsibility..

And my comments were directed at the Bush family as a whole. So, overall, no real tax cuts.

The Bush family cloaked themselves as conservative but were progressives the whole time. Look forward to the day when I never see the name again and throw Karl Rove in there, too.

I understand that you are trying to dance on the head of a pin. And I have faith that you are not implying that your taxes should not have been cut.

” ... NAFTA was Reagan’s idea ... “

Reagan’s idea was to increase investment and reduce trading costs to help North America be more competitive globally. Not a bad idea.

NAFTA came about after Reagan. It is the result of what happened after a bunch of lobbyists, globalists, and bureaucrats got involved.

Reagan signed a free trade agreement with Canada, and mad it clear that he wanted to expand it to Mexico.

Heck, he believed it should include the entire American continent.

Dancing on the head of a pin is reducing taxes while greatly increasing spending. It’s got to make sense.

I don’t know about you but I remember our economy at the end of 2008. It was basically rolling out a red carpet for obama.

Then you probably also remember that the state of our economy at the end of 2008 was not a result of tax cuts or increased spending. Something else happened . . . maybe someone can remind me, I don’t recall what it was. /s

That’s not NAFTA.

We should have trade agreements with every nation we trade with but there are certain nuances that can make a trade deal bad. NAFTA has plenty of them.
