I don’t know much about Ms. Baldwin, but are you sure you don’t mean Tammy Duckworth? I know she was a helicopter pilot and lost her legs during the Iraq War. She won the race as Senator, largely based on some very inarticulate, insulting remarks made by incumbent Mark Kirk during their last debate.
