I’m no big fan either but I can guarantee this wasn’t a secret to Trump. This is a fake news headline to create derision. Some FReepers fall for it hook, line and sinker.
Is it possible that the $700 million reduction in the Lockheed contract with DoD has produced a big hit against his personal accounts? Is he trying to drum up more war in order to support a massive increase in weapons contracts in order to make up for, in my opinion, what might have been a big financial hit? Or is he just trying to offset the negative scrutiny being directed to his McCain Institute? With democrats like him, you can never just assume his integrity is up to snuff.
No problem with your money point. Problem is his speaking about safety corridors and other such rot with heads of states. That is SOS job and President Trump’s job. Not McClame’s job.
McCain is the chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee. He can basically OK himself to go on an official trip to US troops anywhere. The US military has presence in northern Syria, and McCain visited them.
This and other stories like it are wildly misleading, although they do point out the McCain needs to be stripped of Armed Services chair by the Senate GOP caucus.
