even to the point of implementing policies specifically designed to get gym rats to quit their gyms The only policy like that I ever encountered didn't allow you to lift heavy weights and didn't allow grunting. LOL! Talk about going out of business fast.

Using cannabis does not = addiction. Thats a prohibitionist fallacy. It is true that many on FR support freedom & individual liberty. This includes those of us who support the 10th Amendment & who dont believe in supporting the irrational actions of the nanny state. Decriminalize it federally & let the states decide. And no, I do not support any addictions. Treat cannabis like alcohol & let people decide for themselves, k?
Amen!

There are a lot of “mom gyms” today that have no 50lb discs, and a very small selection of free weights. Their dumbbells top out at 30lbs.
And the benches have no place to rest the bar.
Heavy, free weights are a liability risk and drive away women. And that’s at least 1/2 of their paying clientele.
It’s all about machines now. Machines everywhere. And “personal trainers”.
Even Gold’s has succumbed to survive, check the link:

the crap pot growers (heavy metals, etc) are introducing to the process.Growers don't "introuduce" heavy metals - cannabis, like a number of other plant species, is naturally a hyperaccumulator of metals.

There are studies that show that hemp might be used as a “concentrator” of rare earth elements. So a “use” besides the “party use”.
