It’s very distinctive for sure!

We saw lightning hit about 50 feet from us once when we were out riding on hubby’s motorcycle. We had stopped at a rest stop to get some shelter from the rain. Scared me! And there was a hole where it hit...or as hubby said, where it came up out of the ground/pavement. Boy was it LOUD!

No one in Latvie but action in Hungary. Even hear a woodpecker in the distance. Or at least I think it’s what it is. LOL!

Some of the lightning tonight was ground-to-cloud. My two fave of the night show that.

I went to Hungary when I saw no one had been to the Latvia nest. Cool that both eagles are there today! Wonder what has them so wound up. Their squawking is freaking out the cats. LOL

LOL! My kitty never even jumped. It turned out that a 3rd eagle landed on the nest and the other two were not pleased!

Those pictures are a MAZ ing!! You did good! I’ll bet watching the videos is something else again!

Dang! I missed that! Had the FR window in front when the ruckus started and didn’t know why they were upset.
I don’t know what it is about UStream but it keeps freezing up on me. That’s why I don’t watch nests regularly that are on that site.

Not all of our cats react to the birds but some do. They wanna snag those birdies they hear and eat ‘em. LOL

It was even more amazing to stand out there with all that lightning dancing across the skies. There were several storms in a line north to south that were flashing but that one storm was the only one shooting out massive streaks. It was a rush to be out there.

We got .4 an inch in the gauge but there was probably a little more than that. The wind was blowing hard and a lot of the rain was flying horizontally. It didn’t rain very long either.

Oh, I'm so glad you got rain and that's a nice amount! Maybe it'll help all your flowers grow. Plus you got the light show as a bonus! LOL!
