If I had to guess, I'd say you are old. It's tempting to dig one's heels in when we are old (I am, too) and just try to will society to be the way it used to be, and to feel justified in dismissing people who are attempting to see the world through the eyes of the young, the lost, and the corrupted generation now populating the youth majority in this country thanks to four decades of Marxist indoctrination. We must do this to have a future for conservatism, as well as to fulfill our obligation to shoulder the Great Commission. We must drop our nets where we are, not in some ideal fish pond that no longer exists.
One needs to understand the prison and the chains these young people have had driven deep into their psyches since birth through every form of media and public schooling, unless they were home-schooled and separated out like the Duggar children. Even the Duggars' extreme segregation of their children from mainstream society did not protect their family from the snares of the devil.
So we have a young man who is the victim of child abuse, who was improperly parented and duplicitously mentored by a religious figure who should have been a haven of trust and truth; instead his priest was a wolf in sheep's clothing. And instead of acting or even allowing himself to feel like a victim, this young man Milo's prodigious intellect led him out of his original environment and he just kept going, not really understanding his woundednesss and damage. What his seducer meant for evil, however, the Lord may have used for good: because of his gayness, Milo has been able to break through to the hipster college crowds and give them an anti-Political Correctness message that no other person has been able to do. Luminaries like David Horowitz and even entertainers like Ann Coulter have been banned from campuses, assaulted, face-pied. This young man's gayness gave him cover for many months as he spread his compelling message—that the fascist PC educational Establishment has been LYING to young people about sex, about gender, about religion, about capitalism, about American traditional freedoms, especially freedom of speech. He had the courage to face raving crowds of fire-bombing protesters funded by the globalist Establishment to do so.
So I am asking you to reconsider your diatribe against FR. Who can speak to today's corrupted youth other than outsider infiltrators like Andrew Breitbart (assassinated), Bannon (vilified), Yiannopoulos (marked for destruction)? Milo's message was not couched in conservatism's usual pontificating, scolding, preaching, or shaming, but in laughter. And between the laughs, he was as serious as a heart attack, driving the sword into the progressives' sacred cows.

Try to understand what it is to be young, to want to fit in, and to have been surrounded all one's life so far by depths of unrepentant, brazen public sin and indifference we couldn't even have imagined when we were young.

He will never be able to heal if his sources of religious authority whom he meets going forwad make him feel dirty because he was seduced by a religious authority figure into a lifestyle that is killing him. We can all agree that there is little more contemptible than progressives who have not read the Bible but try to tell us what progressive things Jesus would do.
By the same token, there is little more boring than posters who have not read the source material, reject it out of hand because of one thing they've heard about the author, but comment on it in absolute terms, as if they knew what they were talking about.
He does not condemn Milo, he condemns the unrepentant behavior. He wants no one to perish, and holds out the hope of redemption to the last seconds of one's life. He also condemns unforgiveness, self-righteousness and judgmentalism. Jesus ate with publicans and sinners and preached on the Sabbath, scandalizing the legalist religionists of his days on earth.
And his main audience? Students 18 to 21 years old. They could relate.
May I suggest that those for whom conversion therapy HAS worked are the least likely to be boasting about it. They know they face a future always "in recovery" the same as alcoholics, and that even one slip could cascade. If they go public, they will be horribly vilified by those they left behind in the lifestyle. The Focus on the Family publication Citizen used to run articles about recovering homosexuals, only to have them attacked by the agenda activists, and they don't publish about individuals any more.
I am a straight woman, but I worked in the arts for decades. I saw the struggles up close of both men and women caught up in this dangerous way of life. But some escaped and stabilized themselves without it. There was always that look of terror if you ran into them with a heterosexual date or spouse in their 40s, but you "knew them when." I could never condemn a struggle that difficult.
Lost humans tend further and further away from the God that does not change. Possibly the folks in Sodom went through a similar apostasy such as yours - God still destroyed them as he will you and your followers.
Not as many Freepers as you seem to think are willing to embrace a Sodomite. And it seems incredulous that you would hope that Milo would be a role model for our children unless you share the catmite goals of him.

What diatribe against Free Republic? I have nothing against Jim Robinson until such time as he publicly embraces the doctrine you support. My ‘diatribe’ is against you and your gang.

So based on your numerous replies, it is obvious you don’t really care about stopping the leftist takeover of this country or the culture. You care about religion, not culture, conservatism, or politics. That is fine, but most people here do. I say most, because there is a certain demographic on FR that is either incapable or unwilling to formulate a thought or idea outside the context of religion. You are obviously one of those people. Fine. I invite you to enjoy the religion forum. I don’t trust you to be in the same foxhole as me. You wouldn’t fight. You love self satisfaction too much. Milo, I would trust completely.
The sad thing about people like you is that you believe you can win any kind of victory without the blessings of God. You believe you can embrace that which God has placed His anathema upon and somehow win the spiritual battle between the right and the left.
You are but an unwilling soldier under the guidance of the god of this world and the only result will be that you will help to build up his army which will hunt down and kill God’s people during the tribulation period.

Yes, I concede that you indeed do have the blessings of god . . . but the ‘god of this world’ is not worthy of capitalization.
