Cruz: Congress should use 'all authority' to rein in activist judges

Congress should use every tool at its disposal to rein in activist federal courts, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas (A, 97%) said in a closed-door meeting with reporters at the 2017 Conservative Political Action Conference Thursday. And this includes limiting their jurisdiction with federal legislation, Cruz stated.

Don't Miss A Tweet Profile Picture Conservative Review @CR Follow In the last congressional session, Sen. Cruz introduced a bill that would have limited the jurisdiction of federal court on marriage. When asked about similar legislation, the senator reiterated his unapologetically bold thoughts on the subject of judicial overreach.

“We should be using all legislative and constitutional authority to rein in the abuses [of activist courts],” Sen. Cruz said.

America’s finest political leader is sitting behind his desk in the Oval Office.

Political leaders win elections, and advance their agenda.

Losers pick up crumbs.

Wrong!! D1 has no hatred for ‘America’s finest patriotic leader’.... quite the opposite...D1 fully supports POTUS Trump.

Be careful with that ‘severe aversion to the truth’ comment.

Just sayin’.

There you go with your lies again. Please show me even one occasion when Ted Cruz insulted Melenia.
FACT: Ted Cruz NEVER insulted Melenia. Not even close. Ted Cruz has too much class for that nonsense.

FReeper Cruz Derangement Syndrome Sufferers don’t realize who is salivating to replace Cruz, the totally un-plugged-in, Comcast owner-marrying rep Mike McCaul:

Rep. Michael McCaul of Texas misspeaks says Republican National Committee was hacked

Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Austin, told CNN Wednesday that Russians had hacked the Republican National Committee then later recanted the statement saying operatives had been hacked.

The Republican National Committee denied the breach after CNN’s report and McCaul swiftly said he meant to say that Republican operatives had been hacked, according to a report in Business Insider.

McCaul said both Democrats and Republicans had been hacked at the national level and that it didn’t seem targeted to one party or the another, according to a report on Politico.com.

He said he believed that the hackers were trying to undermine the “integrity of our election systems and our democracy and our way of life,” according to Politico.com.

So the CDSers want a NeverTrumper to take Cruz’ seat.

First of all, its ILLEGAL for any PAC to even talk to the candidate, let alone coordinate political attacks with him. And second, the lady, who’s PAC published said picture of Melenia used to work for Walker’s campaign (until fired), not Ted Cruz’s campaign.

Sorry, when someone’s PAC opens up on another persons wife, guess what’s going to happen next.

You’re a big boy. Figure it out.

Fact: Cruz’s extended team did attack Melania Trump.

They did it before Trump opened up on Heidi.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...

It was a PAC supporting who?

Oh you don’t know...

Could it have been Cruz? Well just maybe. LOL

If someone from the other side trashes my wife, guess what’s going to happen in a few hours.

Too bad for Cruz he attracted people who didn’t know better to pull that sort of thing.

It cost him. Trump wouldn’t sit still for it.

Who knew?

Trump reacted. He did not do it first.

Lesson learned. Don’t yank a lion’s lanyard.

Wow...I’ve noticed several Cruz hacks have been allowed back in.

They start off with good behavior then slink back to their slimy, name calling ways, in no time :(

Par for the course.

NeverTrumpers could get it then, and can’t get it now.

When one wants to throw the baby out with the bathwater, one must realize who the new baby will be.

Well, I think we pretty much got their number, based on their previous actions.

I think we know which side uses this song-and-dance, and Michael McCaul, whom Rick Perry lobbied to replace Cruz, sure didn't get that talking point from Team Trump.

Yay,yak.

Perhaps he’ll catch up or even pass Cruz, given time, but he will have to learn how to herd senators and MSM liars first.

But if he tries to make a “peace deal” in Israel, he’ll do more damage than Obama and Clinton did together.

Pray that he doesn’t even try.

Yes I recall that incident. I don’t recall the exact chronology but I don’t deny it either. I think the difference is that someone working for Cruz or associated with him in some way DID THE DEED!

In Trumps case, his insults of Cruz’s wife came right out of his mouth on worldwide TV.

Both of them acted in idiotic ways towards each other that did not serve either one of them well. That said, the cause of CONSERVATISM is ill served by constantly looking in the rear view mirror.
