AFSCME Pres. Lee Saunders issued the following statement on the Department of Homeland Security’s new rules on enforcing executive orders on immigration:
“The rules announced today for implementing President Trump’s executive orders amount to nothing short of mass deportation. Instead of seriously addressing comprehensive immigration reform, this administration is throwing communities into chaos and fear.
“America is made stronger by the generations of immigrants who have come here willing to work hard, play by the rules and pay their fair share — no matter where they are from. Today’s steps threaten and undermine fundamental American values of hard work, family and community.”

He did.
He completely reformed the corrupt, malfeasant federal immigration enforcement bureaucracy and they are now firmly enforcing the laws on the books.
It’s interesting that a union organization representing GOVERNMENT (where typically US citizenship is a prerequisite to employment) employees opposes measures that will limit the number of illegal aliens in America. I wonder how employees in the PRIVATE SECTOR feel about that since illegal aliens typically take private sector jobs (albeit “under the table” for the most part) that US citizens would otherwise typically fill at a reasonable wage?
Putting the word 'comprehensive' in front of something is a guarantee that allows nothing to be done or will get done.
Keep digging your own grave AFL-CIO. You been ranting and raving for nearly a century about workers who vote against their interests and yet you are doing that in spades. Union members are watching and judging their unions and, if union leadership keeps going down the current path of globalism for the sake of the ruling class, their verdict will not be to your liking.
Think on it.
Isn’t the main job of a union to strengthen the benefits and wages of its working membership? So why the hell I Afscme using membership dollars to strengthen the citizenship status of illegal aliens. Everyone in their membership should be demanding their dues back since the focus of their union is no longer that of their working membership.
That’s their new message: “mass deportation.”

its no wonder union membership has all but disappeared in USA (excepting for govt jobs, where big labor bosses and their unions are mostly unnecesary and should honestly not be permitted....govt workers get tons of benefits and job protection already by the system, not by union representation at all nowadays )
He IS looking after members’ jobs. How many government employees work at providing services for illegals? A lot, especially in schools and welfare offices.

Wow, more of the "law abiding illegal alien" Bolshevik! They aren't playing by the rules, they weren't playing by the rules when they came in illegally and aren't by staying illegally, hard working, yes some of them are, but there's that playing by the rules problem again, not only can they not work legally but they are breaking even more rules with identity theft.
And as far as American values? well if those are democrat Americans, then yes they share the values of lying, thieving and demanding rights and property that they never earned. But more to the point this is just all about more liberal lies, since the deportations are not targeted against legal immigrants that followed the rules and waited their turn to have the opportunity to enjoy the "fundamental American values of hard work, family and community.”
These deportations target only illegal aliens who broke the rules, skipped the only legal method of entry and made a mockery of those who followed the rules, so that they could break more laws and enrich themselves at the expense of all American Citizens and every law abiding resident alien.

They avoid, like the plague, using the word “ILLEGAL” and use only “IMMIGRATION.”
Wouldn’t “playing by the rules” include not being here illegally?

How is it that a union that purports to represent State, County and Municipal Employees (i.e., government)wants millions and millions of illegals let loose on this country and in THEIR job areas?
