When 23-year-old Sahar Kian needed a roommate for her home near Georgetown University, she turned to Craigslist. Among her house rules? No alcohol, pets or meat products. And no supporters of President Donald Trump... Kian also insisted that her ad did not discriminate against "political differences."... Kian responded that her house rules aren't a case of "extreme vetting," a phrase Trump has used to describe the review process he intends to make newly arriving immigrants and refugees undergo, and that she wouldn't "drill" potential roommates on their political beliefs.

If I did that a year ago with the previous w/h occupant, craigslist would have banned me for life.
So, she wants people with bad grooming habits, hate animals, bad breath and are sick more often than not...........

It DOES discriminate, and there is nothing wrong with it. Discrimination is a good thing actually, dont know why its viewed as wrong.
Good. That means her room is open to drunks, druggies, criminals and rapists from muzzie countries.

I got that question from someone I wanted to rent a house from. He say, “Say you aren’t one of those crazy Trump supporters, are you?” and his facial expression changed from kindly to malevolent. I honestly replied that I was not a “crazy” Trump supporter. But he wouldn’t let it drop - he went on and on, staring at me with twisted anger, saying how much he HATED Trump supporters and their sick, twisted minds. I guess he was hoping to provoke me. I looked at his facial expression carefully, trying to judge how far off from normal he was. Scary guy.
Who in the HELL would advertise in Craig’s List for a roommate?!!!!!

Too bad. She would most likely get a very clean, trustworthy, NON-rent skipper as a roommate with a Trump supporter.

Legal or not, this mindset is what is being bred. I have NO interest in people like this determining the future of my country, no diluting its ethnicity and its culture.
I don’t know how many times I have looked up someone, a #FakeJournOlist etc and they are either immigrants or the children of ones. It is suicidal to continue to admit people from outside the USA.
I’ve seen this same thing on dating sites from angry bitter Hillary voters.
The women in question are not “POC” (Which is my new favorite catchall of stupidity.), they are not illegal immigrants, they are not Muslim, they are not gay or anything else Trump supposedly hates.
They are angry, bitter, miserable white women in urban areas. They fit many of the typical liberal stereotypes that are so easy to mock; body art/piercings, the hand me down/thrift store fashion sense, the references to obscure writers/artists no one cares about, underemployed and of course the quite humorous “I am accepting of anyone or any belief.” tags somewhere (Except Trump supporters.).
I’m glad they advertise so freely, saves people time from experiencing their willful ignorance and bitterness first hand.
The funny part is that while he was testing you to see if you were what he wanted in a tenant, he revealed that he was not what you wanted in a landlord.
It's pretty common really. My son just sublet an apartment through CL. All parties have bent over backwards to meet their obligations. I've bought a couple items, expensive ones, through CL. Honest people know how to telegraph their honesty. Sketchy people know how to telegraph their sketchiness.
Needs to share rent in her parents townhouse probably.
I would like to have this information ahead of time. I certainly would not like to have a liberal roommate. I am fine with it.
