ICE: 949,382 illegals with 'removal orders' still free, raids get just .07%
Washington Examiner ^ | 2/20/17 | Paul Bedard

Despite media reports of a massive crackdown by President Trump on illegal immigrants, just a tiny percentage of the nearly 1 million on the government's deportation list have been arrested, according to statistics provided to Congress.

The 680 seized in recent sweeps by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement agents represent just .07 percent of the 950,062 with deportation orders as of May 21, 2016.

...

There are an estimated 3 million illegal immigrants with criminal records in addition to their illegal status and the administration has said it will make them a priority for removal. The numbers in the ICE answers could have adjusted but deporting criminal illegals was not a priority in the last months of the Obama administration, ..

Immigration experts said that sanctuary cities are mostly to blame for the huge number of illegal immigrants with deportation orders who are not in custody.

AFAIK the Trump administration just began enforcing the law & hasn’t issued anything to suggest all the criminal aliens have been taken into custody yet.

Reads like BS to me.

Oh the YUGE-Manitee. Evil Trump. Then again, the “very fake” news fails to inform the lyin’ king was a bigger deporter. No outrage when the lyin’ king did it. Almost no notice at all from the lame stream. So, when are the gazillions of homeless gonna take center stage again? Pretty much no notice for the past 8 years.

Maybe deporting of a small amount will lead to a lot more self deportations.

On another note, yesterday I was digging a flower bed and I told my wife it felt like a day without immigrants.

Ramp it up, Trump team. Time is not necessarily on your side.

Start raiding the businesses where these people work and they will self-deport. Send letters threatening legal consequences for continuing to pay these illegal invaders and get them fired. There are a lot a ways to put economic pressure on these people so that they self-deport.

His deportation numbers were a lie....just like all the other government statistics. His administration counted people turned away at the border as deportees.

These are just the people with criminal records here and previously ordered deported.

How can anyone object to removing criminal aliens with deportation orders?

We haven’t even discussed stopping DACA, Obama’s illegal program, which is still operating as if it were law.

A source in southern Texas told me his coworkers (for the most part long-term illegal aliens) are terrified of being removed from America. They know they broke the law and each day continue to break the law, and more often than not are sending the bulk of their paychecks back to Mexico and other points south of the border.

These people are getting legitimate paychecks and I have to wonder based on what ID.... Most certainly they use the same "ID" to vote.

Actually Trump promised, getting felony illegals out first, which is what he’s doing. Broader enforcement and the wall comes next.

IMHO there are over 50 million "immigrants" between illegal border crossers (invaders) and Visa overstayers inside America right today. We have been hearing the 11 million number since early 2000s and it is an outright lie to keep US Citizens calm in the middle of a tornado that is permanently changing America and the electorate - who seem to want this according to the OSM.

Using the latest conservative Census Bureau data from 2010 and 2011, the Center for Immigration Studies reports that more than 50 million immigrants (legal and illegal) live in the United States, and that "Absent a change in policy, between 12 and 15 million new immigrants (legal and illegal) will likely settle in the United States in the next decade. And perhaps 30 million new immigrants will arrive in the next 20 years."10

The wall on the Southern Border will be good both in terms of actual deterrence, but also as a symbol. Currently people who want to enter the country illegally look at us as a nation of suckers because it is incredibly easy to get here and to take advantage of the situation. They are bleeding us dry in a myriad of ways; making this observation has nothing to do with racism; it is a fact. Everyone here illegally needs to go or face harsh consequences. We will have a problem as long as the incentives to violate our laws outweigh the consequences.

This should be repeated over and over and over again. The number that is used by the enablers is an outright lie.
