There is an all-out campaign to plant the words “fascist” and “trump” together in the public mind. Josef Goebbels and the advertising industry both know that if people hear or read a pair words together often enough, the brain starts associating them automatically. This is the theory behind The Big Lie, and is also the theory behind advertising that puts the concepts of “Coke” and “refreshing” together so often.
Thus, we have David Brooks, of the New York Times and PBS, expounding on taxpayer-subsidized airways, and invoking the f-word for our president. I mean.....do they have any idea of the things Hitler actually did??

I think the greatest irony is that I don’t believe the Liberals really care all that much about immigration. The big thing for the Liberals is always abortion. Trump is pro-life and this scares the Liberals.
So, the Liberals, who have killed about 50 million babies, think that their funtime may be in jeopardy. And the guy who wants to begin limiting the murder of millions of innocents? Well, they brand him as Hitler.
Rational thinking is not their strong suit.

They don’t teach History any more in the public schools. Just like they don’t teach math or cursive. It’s all political propaganda all the time. So the answer to your question is: No, they don’t have any idea of the things Hitler actually did, they only know that he was ‘double plus ungood’.
And 25 to 30 million of the babies were likely baby girls too.
Didn’t Hitler round up and have executed many people who complained about him? Their complaints are the most crybaby things I have ever heard.

Fascism is a totalitarian movement of the center. While it is not as extreme as the Leftist movements, Communism & National Socialism, it increases the power of Government in an unacceptable manner. A President who promises to restore American values is the furthest thing from any of the Totalitarian movements.
Trump's appointment of a Secretary of Education, who is pledged to break the centralized control of public education, is the exact opposite of a fascist. Trump's effort to rescue America's patients from Obamacare, is the exact opposite of what a fascist would do.
On the other hand, in adopting the big lie technique, David Brooks shows that he is quite comfortable with the tactics of the great totalitarian movements of 20th Century Europe. His credibility is falling through the floor.
Goebbels would be proud of this propaganda smear campaign.
People who complained about Hitler were on the next east bound train to the Russian front.
