The family of an illegal immigrant arrested during a recent roundup of criminal aliens seems shocked that immigration laws are being enforced. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested Miguel Angel Torres, an illegal immigrant living in Austin, Texas, for the past fourteen years, during the recent Operation Cross Check roundup of criminal aliens. It appears immigration officers arrested Torres while they were looking for his brother-in-law, a previously deported illegal alien, the Texas Tribune reported.
“[My husband] is a person who’s never done anything wrong and who complies with the law,” Irma Perez, the wife of the illegal immigrant, told the Texas news outlet. “We don’t know why they detained him. He was driving his own car, not my brother’s. He has nothing to do with my brother.”
Texas law does not allow a person who does not have legal status in the U.S. to obtain a driver license or legally operate a motor vehicle.

Unfortunately, even catching thousands per year won’t even put a dent in the illegal alien population. It’s too bad that fake news story about mobilizing 100,000 troops of the national guard to round up illegal aliens wasn’t true. Without something of that scale, there’s no real hope of sending even half of them back.

Obama told them it was ok to vote. Of course they are shocked they have to leave.
I want them all afraid. Very afraid. Afraid to go to the corner bodega to buy milk or whatever. Afraid to go vote, afraid to go get in their uninsured cars. Afraid to go out and protest with other illegals. Afraid to BE HERE, period.

Do you live in a house with lockable doors and windows, Irma Perez or is everyone invited in? Answer that question and maybe you can figure out why your husband was arrested.

That and some hi-visibility long prison sentences for illegal immigrants caught voting....that should put the fear into enough illegals that they stay at home on election day (as they should). Will probably cost the democrats millions of votes across the country.

Right there is a psychotic denial of reality that being illegal is, by definition, not complying with the law.
Sure! Hey, would you like a $24,000 Child Tax Credit check?! The IRS doles those out without even checking or asking. It's automatic! You don't even pay taxes and those "children" are nephews and nieces in Mexico? No Problemo!

The only real way to send them back is to make it a felony to house or employ an illegal. They have to cut all reasons why they come here otherwise they will never stop trying to come in and they will never leave but thanks to the left and RINOs that will never happen even though Mexico does it. I was reading the immigration laws of Mexico last month, and they are super hardcore. If you sneak in once you get a year in jail. Do it a 2nd time and you get 10 years. And every day you overstay your Visa you are fined $70 bucks. And if you have a baby on Mexican soil the baby is not automatically given citizenship. And if you want to immigrate to Mexico you can only live and work in certain areas that are “not detrimental to Mexican citizens”. Yet we got Mexican citizens coming here and protest us.
“When you vote, you are a citizen” sayeth the leftists’ god to illegal aliens.
