Immigrants are not US’s problem and policy makers already know this [barf]

Let’s face it — every Irish person in New York knows someone who’s undocumented. Usually they know more than one. They also know that if weren’t for them and other immigrants half the bars, restaurants, shops and even colleges in the city would be deserted.

New York has always had a special welcome for immigrants — even the undocumented ones — because it’s been the historical landing point for intending Americans since the earliest days of our national story. Welcoming immigrants is really the city’s oldest tradition. It actually makes sound financial sense. The undocumented often do the work that the natives recoil from, and no one knows this better than the city’s employers.

Sadly, however, many of those same employers then vote to ensure that their workers never get a real chance to emerge from the shadows, meaning that they’re being oppressed for a reason. It’s just business, it’s nothing personal, or at least that’s what they tell themselves. […]

Here’s the real truth. The U.S. Department of Agriculture claims “about half of the hired workers employed in U.S. crop agriculture are unauthorized, with the overwhelming majority of these workers coming from Mexico.” This week there are tomatoes rotting in the fields in Alabama and elsewhere because the Mexicans who usually harvest them are afraid to be targeted in the latest raids. …

I'd like to test that theory.

Well, the problem isn’t with “other immigrants”.

Take note of the weasel language right there. Does “other immigrants” mean the legal ones? And the author has the nerve to call his screed “real news”.

Anyone trying to get an education for their children in the southwest knows that public schools have been taken over by illegal aliens.

Do you want your child to join a gang and to have a Mexican accent?

I’m starting to think that all of this illegal immigration stuff just might be my fault. I mean, I am a White, Christian Taxpayer.

It’s GOT to be me! It’s just GOT to be!

*SPIT*

GTFO. NOW!

Hahahahaha. NYC is overrun with illegal Irish Aliens???? Hahahaha talk about people suffering from mental illness. There was a time when the Irish were immigrating to NYC in great numbers, but that was quite a while ago and they did it LEGALLY!

I thought it was me, since my immigrant family came here in the 1630’s and was one of those who founded New Amsterdam.

And my ancestors given name was “Christian”

Okay fine, deport all the Criminal Invaders from europe FIRST then we can start in on the one south of the border.

I really don’t care which group we start with just as long we can get them all deported within the next 2-3 years.

I would rather pay higher prices and have people here legally! Keeping them in the shadows keeps them beholden to their “masters” and prevents them from fully participating in society. Both political parties benefit but the real losers are those who live their lives hiding and those who do end up subsidizing them and their families...the real racists are the ones who want to keep this horribly broken system going just as it is!

They are still just as illegal as the Mexicans and those from the Middle East, and they should be deported too.

My mother was born in Dublin and came here legally. I think if she were face-to-face with Mr. O’Doherty and told him exactly what she thought of his pack of lies, he’d run scared after the first ten seconds.

“My family has had nothing but trouble with immigrants ever since we CAME to this country!” ~ M*A*S*H* (Charles Emerson Winchester, of course!)

That one has always stuck with me. My Family of Origin were German Jews that came to America in the late 1800’s. New York, first - then they settled in Wisconsin because it looks just like Germany! Go figure. ;)

Craftsmen, (I LOVE to make stuff!) Bakers, (I LOVE to bake!) Farmers, (My Garden Kicks @ss!)

I cherish their pictures and COURAGE! I can’t even IMAGINE picking up and moving to another country. I am so LUCKY and I NEVER forget that! Family albums will be the first thing I grab in a fire. ;)

If Ireland thinks immigration is so great then why don’t THEY welcome and accept millions of them on THEIR shores.

F@cking damn hypocrites.

The entire world wants to dump their human debris parasites onto the USA while lecturing how great immigration is. You notice they NEVER take any of these parasites themselves.

New York City had legal slavery until 1827!

And many of the Irish immigrants who arrived in NYC up to 1800, and beyond, were badly treated “indentured servants.”
