push for Cruz for whatever reason people thought Ted was awesome.

Many of us here in Texas still think Senator Cruz IS AWESOME. And we will be voting for his re-election in the Primary in a short Thirteen Month

Has Rush ever explained what a “full throated” conservative is. Rush Limbo bought into the notion the dirty dossier was going to bring Trump down. And Rush ran with the rino herd, campaign 2016. Rush is a neocon of the highest order...

I don’t care about the past, the bottom line is Cruz and Trump are on the same team now.

“The entire political game is like going to a circus. There are lots of acts to see. We have a ring master, freaks and even clowns.”

Not to mention tons of horses**t.

Along the line of thinking that a butterfly flapping his wings can cause a hurricane on the other side of the world...

If McCain would have won, we may be just entering Obama’s second term today. And of course, no Trump.

There are too many checks and balances to allow a dictatorship in the U.S.

Well, sort of. At least permanent dictatorships. But when you think of the damage Obama and his predecessors have done with Executive Order, at least on a temporary basis until the next guy comes in and reverses previous EO's, the EO by itself is a tool of tyranny. At least in the wrong hands. And whether the current hands are the wrong hands can change every 4 years or so.

The alternative is the actual form of government defined in the US Constitution, where the legislative branch writes laws after significant debate and majority votes, the executive branch signs the law into law and executes the existing laws, and the judicial branch rules on whether or not individual laws are constitutional.

I know a lot of supporters of the current president want him to start writing more executive orders to provide some kind of relief from current conditions, but let's not forget that the only thing Obama has as an actual legacy is Obamacare, which probably won't survive the calendar year, and a bunch of EO's that can be washed away like a line in the sand when the tide comes in. Actual laws that can withstand legal nullification are the best outcome to prevent another disaster like the last 8 years.

Yes, Flynn is a great patriot and his loss will hurt us. He is one of the few who understands the threat of Islam and how to deal with it. His recent book (The Field of Fight: How We Can Win the Global War Against Radical Islam and its Allies )showed he was on top of this issue, but also targeted him by the Islamo-Democrat axis.

Unfortunately you are correct. And in between the two Bushes we had The Waco incident.

During that time period Texas was run by Democrats

I classify the Bushes as Democrat Lite, similar to Scoop Jackson. They Loved BIG G'ment and they love the U.S. As long as the Elite are in charge

Interesting, Do I take it than that you are one the those who find the Texas house speaker an OK Republican?

I am a strong supporter of the the Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, and he and Ted did indeed have a come to Jesus moment during Ted's Primary four years ago.

The Lt. Governor thought he had a good shot at the U.S. Senate. I personally like where he is right now and indeed like what he is doing.

Rush is and always has been an open borders pro NAFTA cheerleader.

I don't think I would go that far. He's gonna have transcript after transcript saying otherwise.

WHile that’s true when you have a presidential candidate doing his VP during the campaign it leaves a memory that some will not forget.

Flynn will go down as a Trump mistake early, early in his tenor.Problem is mistakes early on are almost unavoidable. Unless someone else runs your presidency like our last supposed potus.
How R U doing this week!

I expected rookie mistakes from Trump, but he’ll learn over time what works and what doesn’t. At least he’s trying different things, sometimes it will work, sometimes it won’t. The key is learning from it over time.
