Trio may have left country after the hit

Sunday, 19 February 2017

KUALA LUMPUR: The three remaining suspects hunted by police over the assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s half-brother Kim Jong-nam on Monday may have left the country immediately after the hit was carried out.

It is learnt that the men, aged between 30 and 50, were believed to have boarded a flight to a neighbouring country right after the killing by two women subsequently arrested by police.

Based on CCTV footages, sources said the suspects changed their clothes before heading to the departure hall to board their flight.

“The suspects wore grey, purple and green clothing respectively prior to the attack.

“However, after the attack, they went to a restroom and changed before heading to the departure hall to board their flight,” sources said.

The ruse might have been designed to evade the authorities as well as the two female assassins who allegedly attacked Jong-nam.

“This is a likely possibility as the two women indicated that their male accomplices were not anywhere to be seen as soon as the attack was carried out,” he added.

The most difficult part of this operation may have been to recruit local women and train them without telling them what the real objective is. That takes time. N. Koreans have made attempts to kill Kim Jong-nam before but failed. In other known cases of N. Korean assassination, their agent were caught. So they need to make sure that it should succeed this time, while they leave no definite evidence pointing a finger at them.

I don't know why this N. Korean man was left behind. He may be another small fish, but still a loose end which can tie this incident to N. Korea.

North Korean nabbed is a chemistry expert

--excerpts--

KUALA LUMPUR: The fourth suspect arrested over the assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s half-brother Kim Jong-nam is the first North Korean citizen detained so far and has expertise in chemistry.

Ri Jong-chol, from Pyongyang, graduated in the science and medicine field from a university in North Korea in 2000.

Some 10 years later he was involved in research at a centre in Kolkata, India, until 2011.

Sources said that Jong-chol then returned to Pyongyang before he got an offer from an IT company based in Malaysia.

If that were to happen, a unified Korea would make Trump president-for-life. The NORKS would deify Trump

North Korean suspect worked in local medical industry

BY G. PRAKASH AND JASMINE ANDRIA

--excerpts--

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 19 — A North Korean man, who was arrested on Friday night in connection with the assassination of Kim Jong-nam, worked in a medicine distribution company that claims its product enhances the quality of life of those suffering from cancer.

The 47-year-old, identified as Ri Jong-chol, was arrested at his home in Dynasty Garden condominum in Kuchai Lama at 9.50pm. The company he worked for had been the official distributor of a herbal liquid from Japan and China used by cancer patients.

Jong-nam was attacked at klia2 on Monday with what was believed to be a fast-acting liquid poison.

The company is also an advocate of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM).

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the suspect was carrying an i-Kad and was identified as Ri Jong Chol.

An i-Kad is for expatriates and foreign workers. It was the replacement for the i-Pass, which was discontinued in September 2014.

Jong-chol was yesterday remanded for seven days. The remand order was issued by the Sepang Magistrate’s court.

A car belonging to the North Korean embassy was seen entering the Sepang police headquarters yesterday reported Bernama.

He was the fourth suspect nabbed by cops.

Police had previously arrested a woman identified as Doan Thi Huong, 29, who held a Vietnam passport, 25-year-old Indonesian Siti Aisyah and her local boyfriend Muhammad Farid Jalaluddin, 26.

Doan and Siti Aisyah were said to be the two women who had attacked Jong-nam at the airport.

Another "nice guy":

N. Korean suspect Ri a 'friendly family man', says neighbour

--excerpts--

KUALA LUMPUR: Ri Jong Chol, the North Korean arrested in connection with the assassination of Kim Jong-nam, was a “friendly family man” who always had a warm smile. Neighbours of Ri’s at the Dynasty Garden Condominium in Kuchai Entrepreneurs Park said they were shocked when they learned that he was linked to the murder of Jong-nam, the outcast half-brother of North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong-un.

A neighbour said he was stunned to learn that the 47-year-old was one of four alleged North Korean agents who had masterminded the murder.

He said Ri always greeted him whenever they bumped into each other.

“He is a friendly guy. He moved into this place with his wife and daughter, who is in her twenties, a year and a half ago.

“He would always have lunch at a cafe in the condominium with his family on weekdays. None of us suspected anything amiss with the family,” he said.

The neighbour said the family had never caused problems and seldom had guests at their unit.

I always wonder about someone having a small Needle that they could sneak through Security and use when shaking hands with the President on the Rope Line.

Maybe I’m just a bit paranoid. #;^)

In this book published 1/3/17 Bill Gertz:

https://www.amazon.com/iWar-War-Peace-Information-Age/dp/1501154966

lays out solutions for 8 years of strategic losses for the USA.

His solution on N Korea? Back the half brother of Kim Jong-un in a coup of the N Korean government.

Coincidence?

Great book, btw...

There is another candidate, Kim Jong-un’s half uncle, Kim Pyong-il, exiled in Eastern Europe for decades. He has been a N. Korean ambassador to one Eastern European country or another. I doubt that he has any connection to China. He has more legitimacy in terms of blood-line, though. N. Korea is a dynastic country. So blood-line matters. So he may become Kim Jong-un’s next target, even though the chance of China backing Kim Pyong-il is pretty low.

If this report is true it would indicate that the two girls that have been arrested are patsies rather than trained operatives.

The Vietnamese girl claims she was told she was taking part in a “You’ve Been Framed” type TV show, she sprayed water in men’s faces (presumably the men were in on it) they pretended it was all part of a TV show and she got paid $10 per person.

It is so ridiculous that it actually sounds plausible, the Indonesian girl who has been arrested seems to be just a simple country girl and not in any way like her famous compatriot Mata Hari.

Yes, this is all made possible because we are in the age of Youtube and reality shows. One S. Korean media reported that the Vietnamese girl operated a Youtube channel.

The Indonesian woman was also promised to be in a movie filmed by N. Koreans. She was divorced and needed a money. She was paid $100 to be part of this operation.

A clever way to recruit and train credulous women for the job, but I think they botched the clean-up operation after the hit.

China should be presented with really drastic choice. For example, strangle N. Korea until it relents or they will see one or more of the following:

(1) renewed commitment in “two Chinas”

(2) 45% tariff on Chinese goods

(3) Giving S. Korea and Japan free hands to develop their own ballistic missiles to hit most of Chinese cities, or even nukes.

Forcing China to choose between Taiwan and N. Korea is one way to go about it, and maybe President Trump is doing it now. China faced the same choice back in Korea War. They were so eager to take Taiwan, but in the end, forced to give it up to rescue N. Korea. If they are presented with the same choice again, what would they do? Taiwan or N. Korea? The price should be high enough that they cannot afford to keep both, stiffing U.S. again.
