The End of Palestine

"The End of Palestine"

Israel has the opportunity to reclaim its nation.

Palestine is many things. A Roman name and a Cold War lie. Mostly it’s a justification for killing Jews.

Palestine was an old Saudi-Soviet scam which invented a fake nationality for the Arab clans who had invaded and colonized Israel. This big lie transformed the leftist and Islamist terrorists run by them into the liberators of an imaginary nation. Suddenly the efforts of the Muslim bloc and the Soviet bloc to destroy the Jewish State became an undertaking of sympathetically murderous underdogs.

But the Palestine lie is past its sell by date.

There Was Never A Country Called Palestine
http://www.targetofopportunity.com/palestinian_truth.htm

If you consider Palestine to be a “Sovereign” and “Independent” country that goes back through most of recorded history as many would have you to believe, then a few questions need to be answered:

•When was it founded and by whom?
•What were its borders?
•What was its capital?
•Who was the President?
•What was its form of government?
•What were its major cities?
•What constituted the basis of its economy?
•Who was the Palestinian leader before Yasser Arafat?
•Was Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that time or now, leaves no room for interpretation?
•What was the language of the country of Palestine?
•What was the prevalent religion of the country of Palestine?
•What was the name of its currency and what was the approximate exchange rate of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, German mark, GB pound, or Japanese yen on any particular date?
•And, finally, since there is no such country today, what caused its demise and when did it occur?

exactly, it would be no different than mexicans crossing our boarders, taking up residence, then declaring parts of America as their own independent from OUR nation

Sadly that doesn't matter one whit. The people that make the difference all believe that Israel took the Palestinian land from them and are still trying to destroy them today.

Truth is what we believe it is. Facts are immutable but rarely have anything to do with the accepted truth. Big argument to be made here.....:)

the BIG LIE of “palestine” is long over and done with, put to death by the terrorist attacks and mass-murder aspirations of the very Moslems who COULD MAYBE have been given more of Israel’s tiny land. Self-abortion (before any possible birthing)....dead and gone.
For their best futures now, they need to relocate back to their own Moslem lands (for most of them occupying parts of Israel’s Samaria and Judea, that would be the 3/4 of “palestine” now called Jordan....and Syria (when the fighting calms down there, of course)....for gaza occupants, that is Egypt (which does not really want them back now, for obvious reasons...but in time....in time...).
Otherwise, they’ll just FINALLY wear out Israel’s AMAZING patience....nobody can keep ‘turning the other cheek” forever and ever, after all...... and then they’ll get themselves forcibly relocated (never a pretty or easy process in human affairs) or killed. the ‘humanitarian” thing to do is to assist their repatriation now

Israel could carve itself down to one square block and the “Palestinians” would demand more. None of this has ever been about real estate.

Palestine is the name the Romans used after they defeated Jewish rebellions and no longer wanted to use the name Judea in naming a province.

The term was not used during the centuries of rule by the Arab and Ottoman Empires.

The British revived the name for the area they got in the League of Nations Mandate after they and the French double-crossed the Arabs and stole most of the Ottoman Middle East for themselves.

exactly correct. i once suggested israel contract itself to just one little unmarked room at the Tel Aviv Hilton Hotel.
(but the PLO/PA/Hezbellah moslem terrorist gangsters would then just bomb it, too)

Where are you getting that from? Aristotle and Herodotus wrote about a place called Palestine. The word appears in Shakespeare and the King James Bible.

Palestine was more of a territory and a loose confederation of tribal clans who lived and had been there for 1000’s of years.

The real history that concerns most of us dates from the Zionist Movement of the late 19th century till when the State of Israel was created in 1947.

The area of Palestine was a British Protectorate and to keep the peace in the area they had to have a standing army to make it work. In fact one of the last commanders of that Army prior to W.W. II was Field Marshal Montgomery who pretty much ruled with an Iron hand to keep order and peace in the region.

I would have to do some more research but I believe the area was fairly stable until the Zionist Movement took hold and the demand by them for a Jewish State.

The whole thing was handled very poorly after W.W. II and the U.S. got stuck with the problem of Palestine after the British pulled out and convinced the U.S. via the United Nations to take over as the protector of Palestine. We made a lousy deal on it and probably never should have taken the responsibility. Since 1947 this area has been nothing but a headache for U.S. Foreign Policy and I very much doubt real peace is ever possible there, something I believe that Trump understands very well.

That pretty much sums it up. Though I suspect Kerry phrased it as a directive and added “praise Allah”.

Brother Dave Hunt (RIP) said it was renamed by the Romans as “Syria-Palestini” (SP) after the Jewish rebellion against the temple to Jupiter. The Bar Kokhba revolt of 132 A.D.?

Origins of the Name "Palestine"
Though the definite origins of the word "Palestine" have been debated for years and are still not known for sure, the name is believed to be derived from the Egyptian and Hebrew word peleshet. Roughly translated to mean "rolling" or "migratory," the term was used to describe the inhabitants of the land to the northeast of Egypt - the Philistines. The Philistines were an Aegean people - more closely related to the Greeks and with no connection ethnically, linguisticly or historically with Arabia - who conquered in the 12th Century BCE the Mediterranean coastal plain that is now Israel and Gaza.

A derivitave of the name "Palestine" first appears in Greek literature in the 5th Century BCE when the historian Herodotus called the area "Palaistinē" (Greek - Παλαιστίνη). In the 2nd century CE, the Romans crushed the revolt of Shimon Bar Kokhba (132 CE), during which Jerusalem and Judea were regained and the area of Judea was renamed Palaestina in an attempt to minimize Jewish identification with the land of Israel.

Under the Ottoman Empire (1517-1917), the term Palestine was used as a general term to describe the land south of Syria; it was not an official designation. In fact, many Ottomans and Arabs who lived in Palestine during this time period referred to the area as "Southern Syria" and not as "Palestine."

After World War I, the name "Palestine" was applied to the territory that was placed under British Mandate; this area included not only present-day Israel but also present-day Jordan.

Leading up to Israel's independence in 1948, it was common for the international press to label Jews, not Arabs, living in the mandate as Palestinians. It was not until years after Israeli independence that the Arabs living in the West Bank and Gaza Strip were called Palestinians.

The word Palestine or Filastin does not appear in the Koran. The term peleshet appears in the Jewish Tanakh no fewer than 250 times.

In 1950, Jordan annexed the West Bank, so they annexed responsibility for their Arab brothers who had migrated there. The Palestinian Arabs in the West Bank — no matter where they originated — became Jordanians in 1950. Jordan itself did not exist until after WW1, and Jordanians are not ethnically distinct. In ethnic and cultural terms, the “Palestinian” Arabs are equally Jordanian.

Trump is in a unique position to hold Jordan accountable and call on them to take in their refugees, just as Israel has taken in its own refugees since 1948.
