No prob, I’ve done the same thing. :)
I think it was Chris Plante that said - in response to a caller that was ‘sympathetic’ to the illegals....
‘What would ALL of you say if all the owners got together and said stay home tomorrow, I am having a day or 2 or 3 or more to see who needs who’.....
Owners have rights don’t they (I know...NO....)
As a consumer, if I were to try and go into your store and you were ‘closed’ because your employees were sending you a message...I will ALSO send you a message and to tomorrow and the next day where I had to go today..
Back when MLK holiday was being formed, the asphalt company I worked for was hearing ‘rumors’ of the men taking off on MLK day (think it was being pushed)...
He said...ANYONE who doesn’t come to work tomorrow will not be working here day after tomorrow - NO EXCEPTIONS.
People came in who were out sick......<: <:
Welfare.
A restaurant reportedly fired some workers for not showing up yesterday. The restaurant is now getting slammed on Yelp and similar review sites.
>>”I would tell him he was unfair, after working for them for so many years, gave him our best.”

Your employer paid you in FULL for “giving your best”. He owes you NOTHING more.
Geez, these invaders have such an attitude of entitlement.
If an employer can’t fire an employee because the owner wants to obey the law, then we are no longer a nation of laws.
The attitude is: “I do all the work and the boss makes all the money.”
Thousands of people participated in the movement across the country , bowel movement ?
Is it discrimination yet for an employer to replace an illegal with an American?
That’s the facts, Max.
Were there no participating physicians as well?
I’m sure it is in some states, probably in my state of Washington at least according to the lib courts.
Un dia con no trabo.
what choice did the business have once it is known they are illegal the business owner can not have them working it is illegal
This past Wednesday night, certain employees of BCI informed their leadership that they would not be at work the following day. Because of the time-sensitive nature of the jobs these employees were assigned to, all employees were told that they would need to show up for work or they would be terminated.
I think it just might qualify.
This reminds me of the “Not one damn dime day” protests from the Bush presidency, which was supposed to cause fear in every capitalist’s heart. It was thought up by Dem Underground internet site. Nobody was suppose to buy anything, gas, food, go to work, etc. It predictable had zero impact or influence. They actually tried it several times.
Whenever the Dems are out of power they go right back to the same old futile playbook. I do give them points for trying it so early in Trumps term. It is hilarious , the more things change the more they stay the same for the Dems.
It’s funny. I wondered if I’d notice this “day” at all. Turns out I did when one of my delivery guys -a recent immigrant from some Arab country*- dropped 6 cases of merchandise at the door, every box looked like it was thrown out of a plane with 3 split open, contents spilling out. Now the best part is this was a COD shipment and he did not bother to collect the check. If I was as big an A-Hole as he is he COULD be on the hook for over $3k.
*I’ve talked to the guy on previous deliveries and he seems a nice enough guy.
a recommendation Sal?
