As reported by AOL, Mr. Trump’s most recent trip to Mar-a-Lago over the long holiday weekend could cost as much as $3 million for Mr. Trump’s third straight weekend at the Mar-a-Lago resort.
The Washington Post notes Mr. Trump’s previous words published on Twitter, wherein President Trump criticized President Obama’s vacations in the past - that is, prior to Mr. Trump becoming president himself.

In the meantime, the cost and frequency of Mr. Trump’s trips to Palm Beach to spend time at his members-only Mar-a-Log club continues to come under a microscope on social media. First Lady Melania Trump is expected to fly down to Mar-a-Lago to join Mr. Trump at some point during the long weekend.

This compared to separate flights for the prior first family at the cost of millions to the American taxpayer and golf outings for the a##hat

1. Obama did much more. You did not report on it. Here are the numbers.
2. I am not taking a salary.
3. Michelle had a staff of 36 or whatever it was.
4. Money is being saved with no press room.
5. I am keeping many people employed when I go.
6. Until it is worse than my predecessor then reporting on it is VERY FAKE NEWS.
$3M doesn’t make sense. Air Force One and Marine One are already paid for. Say it takes 100 EXTRA people (each working an 8-hour day for three days) to provide security, that’s 2400 hours. Even at $100/hour, that’s just $240K. Add accommodations, vehicles, and food for 100 people, say $800 each for three days, or $80K. Fuel and maintenance for aircraft: say $30K. Toss in $50K for “incidentals”. Now we’re up to $400K. What else?
Wasn’t a problem when Barry, Michelle and the kids were doing it.
Take it out of the Money Trump saved the Taxpayers by renegotiating the New AF-1 Contact and F-35 Contract.
Its a problem because the “reporter” and the rag he works for are not scared to put out fake news.
You don’t put fear into hearts of an enemy press by engaging with them at a news conference for 80 minutes.
Looks like the American right is going to have to learn it’s lesson the hard way.
Has anyone seen mention of the fact that Trump is taking only $1.00 as his salary as president?

Trump is using Mar-A-Lago as his Southern White House.
He works there, just as Nixon and Reagan had their Western White House’s and G.W. Bush had his Texas Ranch.
None of the three used someone else’s House like Obama and Clinton were famous for doing.
Meanwhile, they claim that ONE of Obama’s XMAS vacations only cost $1.3 million. That’s 10 hours flight each way from D.C., 2 weeks long. So $3 million for 2 days only 2 hours away?
If he keeps up this pace, in another 15 years or so he may overtake Øbongo!
So twue......I think if President Trump had the choice, he’d fly in his private plane for jaunts to New York or Florida. I realize that it’s not possible so I’ll just tell the hand wringing monkeys to cram it!! Don’t make them pull out the millions and millions Odumbo and Moochie and every other person in the administration spent on traveling on the taxpayers dime besides, I think the President says he won’t be taking vacations anyway.
Never ever saw any news about how much it cost for Obama to constantly fly to Hawaii...
The big difference is that Trump owns Mar-A-Lago so the expense to the American people once he gets there is nil.

Back in the 1970s, during the first oil embargo, One of the Presidents took the train south to promote train travel instead of driving. Instead of praise for this act, the news media pointed out that the pilots of AF-1 must fly so many hours in a week to keep up their credentials.
So, when TRUMP flies south, don’t let the news media have a field day with it. It has to be.
