During a discussion on Trump’s press conference earlier in the day, USA Today Senior Politics Reporter Heidi Przybyla stated, “[T]he press provided basically the most essential task that the Founders intended for us to do, which was, we outed a public official, who was lying to the public, about the nature of his contacts about what many would define as a hostile foreign power. That is the most basic function of a free press in this — in our society, and the president’s response to that was to have a semi-meltdown, and to accuse us all of purveying fake news, when in fact, his own actions, which were to fire General Flynn, proved that that news was spot on. It was 100% accurate.”

So, he's actually admitting that they don't always (or even usually) "report fact".
Hey, Brian, try reporting facts ALL the time, and we'll see how long it takes for you to get any "prestige" back.
The piece I read also said they would not be pleased with having the likes of Brian Williams on a channel where, in the current climate of Trump attacks on fake news and the media that reports it, he is a known liar and has a long history of dishonestly making things up about the stories he reported on.
Having Brian Willimams on TV as a news reporter/anchor anywhere in the media, just goes to show you how out-of-touch these people are.
Brian William's should have changed careers when he got caught lying and NBC should have flat out fired him. How can the public trust a known liar reporting the news?
Well, I guess that was a stupid question. Look at how many people supported the known liar, crook and con woman grifter, Hillary Clinton.
If he wanted to stay in the media and remain irrelevant, he could move to a nobody-ever-heard-of-it web blog in outer Oblivion, like Dan Ranter (misspelled on purpose) has done.
But don't be out there criticizing Trump for demanding honesty in the media, when you know there is no honestly in the media, now is there Brian? You would know the answer to that question first hand.
Brian, when media reduces (or alters) the facts, it diminshes their prestige. THAT is the lesson you are willfully ignoring.

“Godfather Don” makes media an offer they can’t refuse (he seems to relish a good brawl). President Trump has the ability and the hubris to identify his enemies, and call them out... for he knows if he doesn’t, they will destroy him! Most all the so-called media is clearly openly hostile to him and his policies, with no intent to objectively report on his administration. Judging from the full whine from media types after t’was over, you could see their lumps. He has the media on defense… the burden of proof in their attacks is now on them, not him (180 opposite of their plans). #RustyIrony! All of “swamp” Washington hates him, yet he still maintains the upper hand (so far, but the knives are out!).
The folks who elected him were cheering through the whole thing yesterday! He knows his enemies and his audience… how to frustrate his enemies and inspire his supporters! #MediaArseKicked!
ABC, CBS, NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, PBS, CNN, NPR are ALL organs of the democrat party.
Everything that comes out from those broadcasters, and I mean EVERYTHING, has to be looked at through the prism of democrat propaganda.
All they care about is power, attaining power by any means. Once you realize this, you will understand why they fear President Trump. He poses a threat to their very existence.
If the media reported objectively, President Trump would sound silly attacking him. In fact, the media are obviously consciously and systematically anti-Trump, which is why the truth that underlies President Trump’s statements so effectively diminishes the media.

Williams, with that statement, just admitted that the press doesn’t always report actual facts and implied that most of the time they don’t. LOL!
He dodged so many bullets and watched so many bodies float by in New Orleans that he is somewhat brain damaged. He is a perfect example of what is wrong with the MSM.
So says the news anchor who was suspended for lying through his teeth, padding his achievements, and reporting out and out lies.

Donald has let it be known that this is now not just a one sided fight but rather a two sided fight- and it’s long overdue- I liked bush, but he did tremendous damage to hte3 party by refusing to defend it against the constant attacks of the left and the msm- and too many people kept saying ‘we can’t sink to their level’ and so they did nothing to defend the party- Folks, Defending the party is NOT sinking to their level! They LIE- DECEIVE- and INVENT crap in their fight against the right- Our side presents the truth- We aren’t even close to ‘sinking to their level’ when we fight back!
