Melania Trump is secretly miserable as first lady, a new report claims.
Private, self-conscious, and smarting from some harsh, even mocking press, Melania is “struggling with the realities of her new role and the scrutiny that comes with it,” US Weekly says in its Feb. 27 cover story, citing family sources.
“This life wasn’t her dream. It was Donald’s,” a Trump family friend, stylist Phillip Bloch, told the magazine.
“Truthfully, it’s a lot to cope with.”
Since Inauguration Day, Melania has spent almost all her time hiding inside the “gilded cage” of the family’s lavish, $100 million Trump Tower penthouse on Fifth Avenue — where treasured son Barron, 10, has a whole floor to himself.

Ivanka stepping in is not a good idea. There have already been so many incest innuendos that would just add more. Ivanka needs to remain a daughter. Melania is a very intelligent, capable woman who will adjust and rise above these trash talking so-called journalists.

Actually, I believe this. I don’t think that Melania - who I think is basically non-political - relishes the idea of being in the media’s crosshairs, of being the object of so much hate.

I think the job took a big turn for the worse when Jackie Kennedy had to grin and grit her way through 3 1/2 years of her husband’s brazen philandering. Never recovered.
Maybe, if Melania started a garden on the White House lawn, and have photo ops of her fingers dirty, with a bunch of D.C. black kids bussed in to surround her. Maybe that would make her happy!
Since Trump has friends in the Inquirer maybe they could do some front page stories on Trumps enemies. They all have those ugly mugs that that will turn all of America against them. Think Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Elijah Cummings etc. etc. etc. They are all photogenic in a negative sort of way. They do all look like villains, don’t they?

Bess Truman fulfilled the most important role of First Lady - she took care of Ike. Moreover she had a formula for keeping the press at bay. When after continuous pleading, Bess finally agreed to hold a news conference. To every reporters’ questions, she replied, “I don’t have the answer to that.” The result - the press left her alone.
I don’t think the First Lady should be required to do anything.

Melania can damned well do as she pleases. She's a private citizen unbound by any oath of office and the media can piss off.
