Your government is the 9th circuit. You chose it. Seek your remedy there.
Sure, we can pay for US interstate maintenance.
But it’s going to be by federal contractors, paid with federal funds, and california state government will never see a dime of it, or even have a say in the matter.
As for state controlled infrastructure is concerned, that’s something for the citizens of california to hash out with their state government.
Remove all the illegals, and their rubber band/baling wire/ & bucket of bolts cars will also disappear.
That should buy more time on ALL the USA highways.
If we would deport the (at least) one million illegals living here in LA/OC then maybe our freeways would hold up better.
We already have toll roads in SoCal. Most new highway construction here has been toll roads or toll lanes.
This article is calling for the ability to use tolls to rebuild and maintain our older Interstate freeways.
I can see an unholy alliance of libertarians and radical greens pushing for this. The libertarians would love the Interstate financing to be tolls rather than taxes, and the greens will seize any opportunity to control your driving and price you out of your car if possible.
