Some great photos at the linkk!
By the numbers, it looks bleak, since it seems sure that the influx will overwhelm the reduction in level that can possibly be achieved.
That puts everything on the “repaired” or if we may say, “refurbished” auxiliary runoff area. I hope they are working hard at it. From the news, you wouldn’t know!
Hundreds of towns and millions of acres will be under water. LA is going to be very thirsty in a few weeks.
“LA is going to be very thirsty in a few weeks. “
I hear that Mexico has water.
Just to make sure you see this..
Yeah - the 4 inches per hour is a foot every three hours. Monday morning to Wednesday morning is 48 hours divided by 3 hours = 16 feet draw down. Not quite the 50 feet they wanted.
Hopefully the 50 feet is a conservative estimate.
“Okay guys, we can get by with 15 feet of draw-down, but lets have a safety factor of three and try to get it to about 50 feet.”
Nite all!!
Yeah but it’s California, the state that voted 80% for Hitlery so can’t we just *let* it do a little house cleaning?
This illustrates the total failure of the State of California. They have put their fortunes on high speed rail and ignored the warnings of the dam’s flaws. Seems like California is too big to leave in the hands of the Left who pray to moonbeams and utopian dreams. We need pragmatist who keep their hands on the wheel.
High speed rail + pensions + illegals. To add insult to injury the affected area is red not blue.
it would be cool if trump did a helicopter tour of the area and stopped to chat with a few of the evacuees.
It’s Jerry Brown and his idiotic water management policies. He diverted water from two waterways that *could* have been used in the Central Valley. But, noooooo. He had to do it his way for the *environment*.
How’s the environment in Oroville now, Jerry?
NorCal... if this happen in LA or SAN Fran, they would have fixed it years ago. I am curious as to what eco friendly materials they have been using. If it’s like all the eco friendly stuff that requires twice as much product and costs four times as much.. it has to be environmentally sound and decompose... looks like that’s a bad thing for massive dams and reservoirs. Prayers for NorCal.. sorry the rest of the state just can’t pitch in to help u. If this had been SAN Fran there would have been hordes of volunteers and zillions of charity funds.
Is it possible that hollyweird will let your lives be washed away?
At worst, they will make a movie about the disaster.
CA could easily have both safe dams and high speed rail if it weren't for all of the money spent on invaders, pensions, and other unwise decisions.
JMHO
I have become a horrible person. I actually sort of want to see the dam break just so it washes out a bunch of damn liberal Hillary supporters
