I am sure there are people who are allergic to tobacco smoke.
Sounds as though you may be one of them.
But that has nothing to do with the claims that second hand smoking caused hundreds of thousands of deaths.
Last thing I want to be surrounded in a acrid smoke while I am trying to enjoy my dinner. And no, restaurants didn't do a good job of managing it.
Likewise, it is even more unpleasant to stay in a room that is saturated in it — not unlike burning rubber with a stale moldy smell that permeates your clothes, your sinuses.
Now that I know differently and have learned, I would avoid all businesses that have smoking areas or rooms. Or in the case of rooms, if I don't have a choice, be placed as far as possible away from the smoking rooms as possible.
At some point, too they got rid of smoking on airplanes. International flights were the last to go. Some countries may still allow it.
Friend, smoking stinks and you always noticed the smell.
For ANYONE with asthma or other conditions who in life have to go into public spots, it was also a huge issue.
In CA they used to or maybe still do smoke in outside areas or portions of restraunts.
No vices at all?
I’ll bet you he has an alcoholic beverage now and then. I don’t believe that I’ve ever heard of a cigarette smoker that has become unable to drive a car after or during a smoke. I don’t think that I have ever heard of a driver taking out an entire family in an auto accident because they were smoking a cigarette.
It’s all about control and believing you shouldn’t be doing what you are doing because I don’t like it.
