Former State Dept Official: Trump Didn't Go Far Enough on Refugee Order,

Despite the pushback from the left over President Trump’s temporary ban on the refugee program and travel from nationals of seven countries in the Middle East and North Africa, one former State Department official believes Trump should do even more.

Mary Doetsch, who recently retired from the State Department after 25 years and who served as a refugee coordinator throughout the Middle East, Africa, Russia and Cuba for nearly eight years, wrote in the Chicago Tribune that she fully supports President Trump’s efforts in these areas but feels the action “does not go far enough.”

“I have seen first-hand the abuses and fraud that permeate the refugee program and know about the entrenched interests that fight every effort to implement much-needed reform,” she said. “Despite claims of enhanced vetting, the reality is that it is virtually impossible to vet an individual who has no type of an official record, particularly in countries compromised by terrorism. U.S. immigration officials simply rely on the person’s often rehearsed and fabricated “testimony.” I have personally seen this on hundreds of occasions.”

Based on her experience, the refugee program is rife with “exploitations, inconsistencies and security lapses,” she explained, noting that it expanded “blindly” under the Obama administration, seemingly with no regard for security or the best interests of Americans.

“As an insider who understands its operations, politics and weaknesses, I believe the refugee program must change dramatically and the courts must allow the president to fully implement the order,” she concluded.

The former State Department official is not alone in her support of Trump’s executive order. Recent polls show a majority of Americans support the president’s order on immigration and refugees.

I have heard that when the “refugees” arrive the welfare forms are already filled out and all they have to do is sign.

The concept that our Constitution applies to aliens is ridiculous Just imagine an Irishman, in Ireland, can appeal to the fifth amendment.

The law should be no traceable record, no entry.

We have a reliable vetting process that does not depend on travel documents and a background check. Waterboarding works fine. Use it! These people are not Americans and very few of them want to be.

Liberals are so all over the place. When it comes to their view on capital punishment, one wrongly convicted person of thousands convicted and put to death is one too many. Wouldn’t the same apply to one of thousands allowed into the USA that commits murder in the name of Allah is one too many?

Any other part of the world is free to adopt the text of the US Constitution, and apply it within their own locality. However, that does NOT mean that there is mutual recognition of rights conferred upon citizens of those countries that have made such a move, and their rights while within the United States of America. Visitors from other countries are GUESTS, here at the sufferance of the current Administration, and as such, are expected to behave as guests, with a certain degree of comity and courtesy.

Laws of long standing and proven Constitutional authority are already on the books, and when enforced, provide a perfectly satisfactory means of assuring that these GUESTS are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.

There has been a long-standing failure of will to enforce these laws, and it does not augur well for the present or future of that intellectual ideal and abstraction known as “the United States of America”. While there is a tangible territory that bears that name, the physical existence is separate and apart from the principles and codes that govern it. This means, that the right for these principles and customs must be reasserted by the occupants of the territory, else it may be lost through compromises and false assumptions on the part of ignorant, malicious, or simply unschooled men.

Under the current interpretation of “refugee”, the entire People’s Liberation Army could show up at the Port of Long Beach, claim to be Refugees, and walk onshore as long as they weren’t wearing uniforms.

Well, even that might not matter. They would just assert that Invasion was a Civil Right because they are Non-White.

And the 9th would go along with it. And explain that after all, they have 2nd Amendment rights just like the rest of Humanity (since the 9th extended Constitutional Rights to Planet Earth yesterday), so they can keep their Type 56 assault rifles with them.

Hey, we are the property of the World, right? And the UN is our owner.

Illegal aliens, and particularly those from the muslim ‘tribe,’ have more rights that US citizens, much like ‘native’ American Treaty Tribes.

They are residents if the courts so declare - consider it done. This is the final negation of the US Constitution as written.

The rulings grant rights to the rest of the world, according to many.

No more refugees or immigrants until we get our borders back under control. No more being nanny and welfare jackpot to the rest of the world.

Americans have absolutely no obligations regarding the well being of the rest of the world.

The rest of the world needs to deal with their own problems, and leave the US out of it.

Good point. I’m kind of philosophical about all their wailing and gnashing. In the end, we will win.

Wait and see. Trump is negotiating. He knew what to expect from the courts. He could have ignored the courts but he did not. A Gope would now now say ,”My hands are tied! this cannot be done because of the courts.” Trump is just beginning. He is going to accomplish what he wants and neuter the opposition in other ways.

Those ladies in the picture need to be rounded up later and shipped straight to Mosul, whatever their status might be and with or without their husbands.
