Yes, so very true!

This issue looks like the world, all the US democrats, and the media all versus Trump.

The other Republicans need to man up and join the fight.

This isn’t about Trump alone.

John McCain and company better realize that they might not like the ban itself, but the President DOES have the right to issue it, and they need to remember that one day, some GOP President they support may have to take a loss by Trump today as a closed path for them in the future.

That’s only a possibility if the full complement is in a condition to vote. Banana peels, dementia, strokes-—life takes a toll on the aged and infirm. Also provides another opening on the S.C. bench for appointment in the next four.

Never mind their being a partisan hack seeking to influence selection for a complementary branch of government. Publicly hostile, on the record, against DT. Must challenge as unqualified to perform legal duties because of a possible conflict of interest or lack of impartiality. Recusal demanded if still breathing, should this come to a vote.

The actual text of the statute Trump is quoting is found in

U.S.Code Title 8, Chapter 12, § 1182 (f) Inadmissible aliens - Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President

Enjoyed the Lincoln quote. The GOP needs to come to the same realization that Lincoln expressed. The Dems are making war against the Constitution and the will of the people using the courts, which have become politicized and exceed their authority.

Trump aka We the People is/are not backing down. This is actually the opening salvo of CWII; let us hope it remains cold.

I hope Trump does not back down. He is not only defending his own authority and rights, but those of future Presidents.

I don’t think it would have been as easy to ignore the Seattle judge’s ruling as you state. First of all, his was not the only ruling doing this, his was just the most broad and (over)reaching.

Secondly, to suggest all Trump would have to do is just “fire anyone” who didn’t go along with his virtual snubbing of the courts vastly oversimplifies the authority Trump has over those responsible for actually carrying out the order. From ICE employees to TSA, we are talking about federal employees here. In a union. With a solid form of job security where they could literally rob a bank and as long as its “off hours not impacting the job” they’d still not be fired. It’s not like he can pick up a phone call anyone in the fedgov and say “you’re fired”.

But yet he’d have to “fire” not just one or two but many. Again, federal employees we’re taking about here, at least half sympathetic to Zero and leftism in general. He’d have a massive refusal to work, and based on what, a refusal stood on “principle” (ie a court ruling they liked and suited their agenda which is destroying all things conservative or Republican). The story practically writes itself for the MSM.

It wouldn’t matter if Trump pointed out the times Barky ignored the courts. It wouldn’t matter if he made a looped video of him reading this law and posted it on YouTube/Twitter/Facebook wherever. The same media that turned a blind eye to The Annointed One’s flagrant flouting of court orders would gleefully report how “President Trump flouts court order, in direct violation of the separation of powers in the Consititution” on every nightly news on every website.

No, Trump is doing the right thing by capitulating for now, even though the courts have no authority over this. He may be a great showman and promoter but even the mighty Trump wouldn’t be able to survive the onslaught if he didn’t.

Can anyone tell when 8 U.S.C. 1182(f) was made law (with a citing)?

Yes, it does look like Trump is following 8 U.S.C. 1182(f).

I wish Trump’s EO would have included also the authority of the Constitution in Art IV, Sec 4, which mandates, “The United States...shall protect each [state] against invasion...”

A Republican is a member of the Republican Party.

A Democrat is a member of the Democrat Party and NOT Democratic Party.

Why is this so hard to remember?

Note that the Judicial took a swipe at Trump, in the persona of Ginsberg, starting within context of the campaign. Her animosity was in full view, drawing condemnation from all sides; but, especially with Democrats concerned with a member of the judicial system revealing strongly held bias against the candidate. She should have remained in stealth mode, rather than parading her proclivities as a partisan judge.

Dershowitz argued Justice Ginsburg should skip All future Trump court cases.

Based upon your reasoning, then you’re pretty much admitting just how powerful the media and the judiciary are over Trump and conservatives. If it’s that bad, man....we’re screwed. And it surely doesn’t help to embolden them by giving them the stage AND the microphone.

Good grief...there’s gonna be some blood at this rate.

At some point, we’re going to assert ourselves and we’ll be called the “aggressor”. Got to hand it to liberals and insurrections, they’re damn good at it.

There’s no such thing as an “undocumented immigrant”

I came here as an immigrant...

I was DOCUMENTED before I left to come here..there was a heaping pile of documents on the desk of the consulate employee who witnessed my left hand on those and my right hand in the air as I swore to the best of my knowledge that every word on those papers was true...(or I would be deported if it was found later to be untrue...what has happened to that ??? )

the local US Consulate gave me documents to carry with me to my port of entry which was Honolulu, Hawaii...and later New York..

An immigrant is NEVER so called undocumented...

In Hawaii I surrendered some documents and got more and surrendered more in New York and got more again...amongst them one that gave me permission to LOOK for work ...and told prospective employees that I was eligible to work but was awaiting an Alien Registration Card AKA Green Card, and a date that I could start work (90 days after arriving in this country) and I also got an SSN...

When I received my green card in the mail, I went to work for the Bell Telephone Company in Manhattan...

The number on my green card is also annotated on my naturalization document top right ..

Before I became an American citizen, every January I received a document in the mail to my last known mailing address which better be the one the INS knew about or I was in deportable trouble...I had to take this document to my local Post Office by Jan 31 and sign in in front of the Post Master proving I still lived where I said I did and enabling the INS to know my whereabouts...I did not feel that this was an invasion of my privacy or some such nonsense...I was not yet an American citizen...

I became a citizen on Jan 23, 1975 and that year/month I did not have to tell the INS anything about my current abode or anything else...

(Even when I was in the military, I still had to register my current address...You could live anywhere but if you changed you address you had to notify the INS...on paper)

There is no immigration without a paper trail...

“Papers please”

That is not grammatical.

And the Democrat party isn't democratic.

Yes, any other Republican would be hiding. Or would give up. I know Trump has our backs, even more than i thought before the election.

A Democrat is a member of the Democrat Party and NOT Democratic Party.

They're not democratic in any way, which is the whole point of refusing to accept the subtle re-labeling of that party.

You are dead wrong. Trump was totally right in both suspending his EO and in appealing the restraining order.

Apparently you cannot understand this was a trap set up in the hopes Trump would ignore the court and allow the media to claim a Constitutional crises existed.

Trump plays chess, you barely manage to play checkers.
