That may be what was the hoped-for effect, and what the progressives are still working on an effort to bring to pass, but IMO it has apparently had an opposite effect, giving the conservative thought a far wider exposure than it has had in the days of the mass media.

Never before in US history has the side defeated in an election tried to make the country ungovernable and sought to divide it, to prevent the incoming administration from running the nation...

Millennials (who are mostly too young to remember) are being aggressively taught that the Republicans did the exact same thing to Obama in 2009, and tried to prevent him from governing.

All I remember from those years are senior Republicans sitting around like a bunch of whipped dogs while the Democrats walked all over them. :)
