The student senate at Santa Clara University rejected a petition to form a campus chapter of Turning Points USA, a conservative activism group, because opponents of the group complained that its presence would make them feel “unsafe” — and because of the “mood” on campus since Donald Trump was elected president.
A full-time school employee also primed Santa Clara student senators with a lengthy PowerPoint presentation associating Turning Points USA with vile, fringe white supremacist groups.
The rejection occurred on Thursday night during a meeting of the Associated Student Government at the Jesuit bastion in the thick of Silicon Valley.
Supreme Court.
“The Democrat Thug Party feels unsafe. Humorous.”

Any school that suppresses free speech, cut off their accreditation & disallow federal loans to those choose to attend.
I went to liberal college coffee shop to hear a young member of my extended family perform. I was surrounded by hardcore snowflakes and it was an experience seeing them up close. While one musician played several skinny feminine looking guys were sketching away on their tablets. The future of America. It was appalling.
The Bay Area is rapidly becoming a target rich environment for the Sessions DoJ.

The employee who called them “white supremacists” should be sued for defamation.
College degrees are becoming not worth the paper they are printed on of people like this are going to be awarded them like the rest of us who actually tried to learn something when we got them. Now the only thing they appear to be learning on campuses these days are how to not live in reality.
I would actually LOVE to see a federal law prohibiting student Pell Grants, Federally guaranteed student loans, and Federal grant money to any college that suppresses any first amendment right.
Many Jesuits died as martyrs, killed by the people they were serving......and they weren’t liberal, either.

What a hilarious childish hissy-fit if it weren't so consequential
Had the Conservative Group been created first, would the Liberal group be forbidden to Join? By any measure of equal protection, no. Even if the Liberal group might make the Conservative group feel unsafe.
Assuming we live in an adult world.
Time for a legal suit against the University of Santa Clara generally, and the Student Senate specifically.
I believe that the Liberty Foundation is available for the defense of arbitrary civil liberties attacks, yes, even in private Universities ostensibly serving all Americans.
A go fundme (?) site might be surprisingly successful to create a relatively constant source of income to legally limit student body assessments entirely and exclusively to liberal objectives.
Something just isn't right at the University of Santa Clara...
.... Well then .... I guess the same campus wouldn't have any objection of rejecting "Liberal Groups" because it makes Conservative students feel unsafe .... right?
We are reaching the ridiculous blow-off point in our country’s social and economic pursuit of extreme human rights and the cult of the individual.

Not recently, as far as I know, and I speak from the experience of 6 years of Jesuit education, although my (and Governor Moonbeam's) all-boys high school in San Francisco is now co-ed and definitely not as conservative as it was in the 60s and 70s. Definitely not a good evolution.
