Belichick bought him until Gronk is right again. Then he’s off to another team on a wing and a prayer. Belechick will draft a TE or two and/or find a free agent to replace him. Maybe he could go out and riot instead. Block traffic, burn down buildings, shoot passersby, whatever seems productive to him.

I remember when Tim Thomas, goalie of the Stanley Cup-Winning Boston Bruins, said he wouldn’t attend the White House and meet Obama in 2011. Thomas was/is a strong Tea party supporter.
I’d say the same thing to Bennett that i would like to have said to Thomas - Its not about you, don’t make everything about politics (that’s what leftists want), nobody cares about your views anyway, and do it for your team.

It’s his loss, not ours, or President Trump’s. He’s disrespecting the rest of the team, letting his own personal feelings effect his thinking. The team is part of his extended family, and as a member of that family, he should support the honoring of the team at the White House. It’s not one man paying respects to the Patriots, it’s the President of the United States, who represents all Americans. If he can’t put politics aside for one day, and instead chooses to turn his back on his fellow players, then he’s not a team member after all. He won’t be missed.
