In the meantime, the centrifuges continue to spin and Iran continues with its advanced ballistic missile program, including the development of ICBM’s that could one day reach the United States (as this video from my friends at the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews so vividly illustrates). The Iranian regime is doing this because–memo to the Obama administration–America is the “Great Satan” and ultimate target of the mullahs.
Because at the end of the day. Putin is not our friend. And you will see that. The problem is the Obama/McCain sanction-isolation strategy only strengthens such ties. We need to “ally” with Russia to weaken their sphere of influence. Not strengthen.
Countries have NO Friends—all they have are interests. Russia is clear on this point. Putin is in it for Russia only—but, if his interests and ours match—we can be allies and “friends”.(as we did when FDR & Stalin united to fight Hitler). Even England and the USA do not see eye to eye on things—and they are as close to a friend as the USA might have. Keeping this in mind we can play one nation off against another in what is called “The Great Game.” Most of the time it works—sometimes it fails (as in WW I) but, its better than the corrupted UN (The Anti-Semetic Bloody Dictators Club).
I don’t disagree. - And until the leadership of Germany, France, Belgium, Holland etc...changes, I do not see the E.U. as serving our interests either. (I do like Poland and Hungary.)

your assumption is as incorrect as your judgement about Iran. I believe your weakness in assessing the expressed danger from Iran is one of the signs of the deterioration of the will of the US to defend itself n the current world. What you fail to observe is INTERNATIONAL LAW. I do not mind the total annihilation of North Korea,for example.They repeatedly have threatened attack on our bases and and Western states and we sit on our thumbs with clear and present dangerous aggressor and we avert our gaze like cowards. . But they had a sovereign right and exercised that right to develop nuclear weapons like we had that sovereign right. But when they declared OFFICIALLY they would in fact use them on us that is AGGRESSION and we should respond.
But that is NOT the case in Iran!! We just completed albeit poorly negotiated diplomatic discussions with Iran!!There is no threat of their immanent attack on us. We are not the policeman of the world. I frankly don’t care if they attack the Sunnis!! The Iranians are fighting Isis. The Sunni Saudis are NOT fighting Isis. I don’t want to fight Israel’s wars. They never helped us in Iraq or Viet Nam. In fact they absolutely spy on us all the time and attacked the USS Liberty killing and wounding over 200 American seaman.Let them fight thyeir wars.
