Every FReeper should be pulling for the Patriots to stick it to the hateful liberals everywhere. I love football but I won’t be watching either. This is being set up as a huge anti Trump globalist fest on an unprecedented scale. Gaga, the Pope, the ads, etc. will all have one target. It will be sickening

I never have watched Super Bowl halftime shows anyway, and over the years they have become increasingly bizarre to me, in much the same way the Olympics opening shows have become unwatchable. But then, to me, the Olympics is unwatchable for me anyway.

I thought Freepers in general were boycotting the NFL, for showing the world it is unpatriotic as well as greedy. Who forgave the league, when did it happen, and why?
I stand for the National Anthem as well, as do the massively overwhelming majority of NFL football players.
So I don’t mind standing with those football players who stand as well.

A lot of Freepers resist engaging in emotional groupthink. There has never been a consensus to boycott the NFL.
Never.
There are a number of vocal Freepers who go into every thread about football, declare they don’t watch football, and encourage others to stop watching it as well. They seem to care about something they state they don’t care about.
Thing is, nearly all NFL players show respect for the flag, and a minuscule minority don’t. That’s it.
True conservatives would recognize that it is an individual choice to watch or not watch, and can act as their conscience directs.
