The former Governor of California said he made the remarks after Trump slammed the opening night ratings of the NBC show he left before taking office.

'I said, "Let's sit on it for an hour," ' Schwarzenegger told the magazine. 'I called my assistant and said, "I think what we really should do is request a meeting and go back to New York.... And then we just smash his face into the table."'

I’m not thinking this particular incident is all soros’ fault, much is, but maybe not this.

I told myself I’d be fair and if Trump crossed a line I’d also speak up about that. I think Trump started this spat by making fun of the ratings Arnold is getting with the Apprentice. That’s kind of a big deal with the Hollywood and ratings oriented TV people.

Just sayin’... maybe it wouldn’t hurt The Donald toned it down some. He can’t talk like a CEO anymore; he has to talk like a President of these United States which is much different as we know. I’ve supported Trump right from the beginning and now I’m saying an adjustment may be in order.

I partially agree.
But not completely.
It IS refreshing that he speaks his mind clearly, without the lying bullsheet of his predecessor, etc.
To a reasonable degree, I’d like to see him keep doin this

(but yes there is a tine and a season for every purpose under Heaven....and on some occasions he might just want to stifle it a little bit....smile smile smile)

When we got rid of Democrat governor (Calif) Gray Davis, we voted in Arnold S who talked tough like Trump did. But when Arnold, as Calif Governor encountered opposite (i.e. Calif Govt unions), he melted. His wife was a big Dem, and also may have helped emasculate him.
Arnold governed as a total pussy and ended up being even more leftist than Gov Davis.
Big mistake we made in Calif, voting for Arnold.
Arnold plays the tough guy in the movies and we mistakenly though his tough guy act he did while running for Governor, was real.
But it was just an act.
Guy does have 1/10 the guts Trump has.

(he was a Hollywood actor, after all..what can we expect?)

but here is why he’s through with politics, imho...

I think the two of them are just having fun.

Yup. They created this fake feud between them as a running joke. People forget the shenanigans that Donald Trump did with wrestlers in boxing events, and the gag feud between Arnold and Sylvester Stallone. It's all games with these guys.

I agree, this strikes me as classic “tag-teaming” for ratings.

“I think what we really should do is request a meeting and go back to New York.... And then we just smash his face into the table.”’

If Arnold is going to try that he must be waiting until that Secret Service agent who said she would not take a bullet for the President is guarding him. Would not mind if Arnold missed and smashed the secret service agent into the table before sending her to the unemployment line.

Yep, they’re trying to gin up an artificial controversy. It’s to Trump’s advantage to give the media a shiny toy to distract them, and it’s to Arnold’s advantage to hype ratings for “Celebrity Apprentice”. The media falls for it, while Donald and Arnold are secretly laughing their asses off.

While he is joking, I just don’t remember a time in American history when people even jokingly treated the sitting president with such violent disrespect. They tortured President Ford as some hopeless klutz, but nobody ever threated violence against him, even joking.

How did we sink this far this fast?

Another reason why Trump may like to fool with his friends like this is that once you become president, the average person is intimidated, and gives you the Royal Treatment. You get treated as a figurehead, a symbol, not as a real multi-dimensional person. Donald wants people around him that help him stay grounded.

He’s not somebody from out of a movie, a comic book or a castle. He’s just Donald, who knows he’s not perfect or always right about every little thing. This is one reason he keeps his children close by, because they are supportive, but won’t treat him much differently than they always have. They are used to extreme wealth and his extreme bluster. They are not so easily thrown off by either trait.
Who knows? Maybe in private, Melania has a few not very complementary names she calls Donald in English even. And he let’s her get away with it. Better than being treated like your just a hologram. Not real.

Probably not good PR move for “Mobile Strike Force” sales.

You are right. If this were a ratings push by them together, Trump won’t comment on that violent comment by Ahnold.

But if it isn’t, Trump needs to get above the fray and say something like “Arnold and I have been friends For years, and we can disagree on many things, but one thing that is very wrong in this country is to threaten violence against our President. No matter who you are.”

I think there's a lot of Americans chomping at the bit for a bounty on socialists.

Would be bad to encourage it.
