Online civil wars heat up
Call it Facebook Fatigue. People are simply getting fed up with all the political posts that are showing up on their Facebook page.
Lisa Whitlock says she doesn't mind talking politics to people face-to-face but she is appalled by the social media fighting, insults and name calling on Facebook.
"I feel like I'm on reality TV, this is ridiculous," says Whitlock.
Lori Cellucci supported President Trump but wishes people would tone down the discussion on both sides.
"I would like Facebook to be less combative," said Cellucci.
Psychologist Walt Cieko says people will say things online they would never say to someone in person.
"I think there are some people who think they have superior knowledge and they just have to get it out to those with inferior knowledge," said Cieko.
But those comments have repercussions like nasty replies and unfriending, both online and in real life.
People in San Diego tell me they've unfriended family members. One couple said they canceled a trip with another couple over their postings on Facebook.
Rachel Whitlock wishes for the old days, "Please start posting kid pictures and vacation pictures and dog pictures, I don't even care."
If there are people I don't see regularly, or call on the phone frequently, then I don't want them to know anything about me.
No wonder I get all of these ads for AARP and joint pain remedies in the Facebook sidebar. LOL.
You can do it with one account it is all about setting “permissions” for your various posts.
I refuse to have liberal “friends.” What has light to do with darkness.
Easy Fix, I just dropped Facebook like 3rd period French..... :)
And maybe all of this will be good for Trump. People will get so tired of the nasty politics that Facebook will lose whatever influence it may have over public opinion.
Facebook has the greatest feature. It is called block.
They are cyberbullies and despots in favor of ignorance and globalism.

Facebook was an important instrument in electing President Trump and defeating Hillary Clinton.
What is effective, is powerful, terse comments or pithy images on original posts or posts you agree with.
I like having a wide diversity of Facebook "friends." It keeps me honest. I sometimes reach some of them. Sometimes I change my opinions about things. And I like to know what the psychotics are up to.
I have never "unfriended" anyone because of his opinions.
I like to know what the opinions are out there.
I've made family members watch that movie, they didn't flinch.
It's designed for women now, the eternal coffee klatch.
It's going to take a pastor-driven movement to end this.

Given that employers these days demand to see your social media , it’s better to have your political posts have no connection to your public persona.
Facebook, IMHO, has devolved into a cult-like phenomenon, where people get sucked into it and even when they begin to realize its' corrosive effect. They get caught in a loop when everything they say on Facebook gets bombarded by public criticism, sometimes by people they've never even heard of, but they can't break free of it. Facebook's kinda like Scientology.
Facebook is poison.
The unbelievable (never before seen) almost overnight mass migration from MySpace to Facebook that happened several years back, was a Government run Op.

Fatigue? How can I get fatigued whent watching the people who’ve been trying to ruin this country absolutely freaking out as they are losing every day?
I have had 3 acquaintances ‘drop off’ facebook in the last week. Basically they gave one ‘last’ post stating why and they were gone. I think a lot of people were willing to live with it through the election, but no one wants to spend the next four (or forty) years being insulted daily by people who don’t share your political views. It is just a drip for now, but if Facebook can’t come up with a better way for users to filter policital content or if a better service comes along it could turn into a full fledged waterfall of lost customers.
