45,000 of those employees are local foreign nationals, local to the embassy & consulates they work in.
45000 too many? Very likely! They’re translators ,clerks, janitors, cooks, etc. How many actually is needed? Good question!
Necessary but a constant potential security problem no matter what the number.

It’s just bad timing and unlucky for these statie pukes that Atty General Sally took a brave stand—”I’m better than Trump, I won’t do my job!”—just after they put their names to this manifest insubordination.
Trump made it clear to Mustang Sally that he wouldn’t put up with it. Fire them for cause.

Trump should follow Obama's precedent when government employees don't follow the law.
Don't fire them. Put them in jail.
Anybody remember the county clerk, in Tennessee I think, that was arrested and jailed over gay marriages licenses?
Of course, NOBODY in the GOP came to her aid. Except Huckabee.

Bye Bye. Now we know where some of the swamp critters are.
P.S. It’s NOT a Travel Ban. It’s a pause in issuing credentials to insure uniform and adequate vetting procedures.
It’s also a removal of an Obama waiver - ie full implementation of the law that Congress passed and Obama signed.
