SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) The state of California is studying ways to suspend financial transfers to Washington after the Trump administration threatened to withhold federal money from sanctuary cities, KPIX 5 has learned.
California could very well become an organized non-payer, said Willie Brown, Jr, a former speaker of the state Assembly in an interview recorded Friday for KPIX 5s Sunday morning news.
They could recommend non-compliance with the federal tax code.

Destroy their crops just like the North did ours. No wineries!
I think every Californian against this idea should be able to sue the California government for just one more example of destabilizing the state.
I keep saying PERP walk the bastards. All of them. Gov Moonbeam, the libtard dems in the legislature, the big city mayors. Conspiracy to violate federal immigration laws. Now we get to add tax evasion. This is gonna be fun! I’m still not tired of winning.
Go ahead, Make my day.
Re-direct flow of water in Colorado river away from Kalifornia. No tax payment, no water! It is quite fair?
Fine by me...and good luck....
As much as I would enjoy CA burning, I have close relatives living there, and therefore can not go along.
That is when you sent Federal Marshals in to arrest the Governor and his minions.
Or, suspend all services, including military protection.
“One can only marvel at this level of insanity.”
Well,,,, It is Willie Brown!
Im with you. Not ALLOWED to leave the union. Should be busted down to a Territory with a military governor appointed by the President Trump.
How about General Petraius as Governor of California until a new State Government can be organized—one that could ask for admittance to the Union after a period of Reconstruction to weed out illegal voters and treasonous Rebels. Make an example of California so other states will not follow their example! Close down Hollywood—open state to drilling for oil, cancel all pensions. All mayors of cities not in compliance with the laws arrested and striped of the right to vote or hold office. Rebellion has consequences.
I hope that they do this. Then we can roll in the Army since they have declared themselves out of the Union, roll into Sacramento and every city where a major and city council wanted not compliance and hang every single one of them for treason.
Back then the south could at least organize a fight. Even if the California National Guard followed local orders the US Army would make California look like a piece of cake compared to the fight for Baghdad.
Maybe the IRS can seize all the beautiful mansions in Malibu and convert them all into low-income housing.
Then pray that sanity will return to California and that people will repent of this destructive nonsense.

My first tbought...
If they think Trump won’t, I think they are very mistaken...
Deporting the millions of illegals who infest California is what is really needed to bring this state back from Obama Orc Country to something closer to the Reagan Country it once was.
The corrupt politicians who run this state serve the interests of those who want the illegals here. And it’s not just Democrats who are zealous in putting Illegals First. It’s Bush Republicans as well, Dubya being one of the traitors who fought on the side of illegals against Prop 187.
People tend to think that the illegals in California are poor Mexicans. And while they are probably the largest in number they aren’t necessarily the most influential. We have some very rich illegals from all over the globe and money talks with the scum holding political office out here. They don’t want immigration law enforced.
+1
Which is why California needs to stay in the Union. We don't want foreign powers establishing a beachhead here. Not with our nice seaports.
California is a State-in-rebellion. It hasn’t even put the secession initiative on the ballot and it is already renouncing federal authority. The Second Civil War is fast approaching and, like the first one, the Democrats are starting it.
