President Donald Trump said Friday that he will defer to the judgment of Defense Secretary James Mattis that torture and waterboarding should continue to be banned in the interrogations of terror suspects.
"He has stated publicly that he does not necessarily believe in torture or waterboarding or however you want to define it," Trump said of Mattis, a retired Marine general who had commands in Iraq and Afghanistan. "I don't necessarily agree, but he [Mattis] will override because I'm giving him that power."
"I'm going to rely on him" on so-called "enhanced interrogation techniques," Trump said, though "I happen to believe it does work."
Trump said Mattis told him in December that he could get more out of a terror suspect with "a pack of cigarettes and a beer" than he could with torture.

The point is that Western Society will not embrace Sharia law. Even most Muslims don’t.
Well, if our military use it in training OUR people; then I don’t see any issue with it.

All shia and sunni muslims, nice or nasty, ‘liberal’ or not, believe that ALL governments must come under sharia law. That makes ALL muslims the enemies of all other cultures.
That said - I don’t know what your point is. I’m only suggesting we use hard interrogation methods on terrorists - not all muslims.
If you want to eliminate his outside support you will need to invade Iran and Saudi Arabia (and a few other nations) and kill every adult male.
If you want to eliminate his internal support you will need to invade his country and pretty much kill every adult male. If you can point me to any other method that has EVER worked at pushing islam out of a nation that has gone past the 50% mark - please educate me.
Neither we, or anyone else, are going to do that - at this point in history. So Mattis is not going to do anything except expend blood and treasure on a holding action. If he thinks otherwise he is a fool. I like the man but he is violating the first precept of war - he doesn’t understand who the enemy is.

There is no need to kill every adult make. We didn’t kill every adult male German. We didn’t even kill a small percentage of the total males in the Wehrmacht.
The answer, as it always is, is economic.
I give you a few over simplified answers.
It has been said that people get the government that deserve. Actually, it is more than that. People get the government they are willing to tolerable.
Simply tell certain nation states in the ME that we will leave them alone of they do three things: #1, Crack down on radical Islam, and #2, give a citizens a decent (by ME standards) standard of living, #3, let people in neighboring countries the all of the above.
Next, publicly announce that in those theocratically controlled radical Islamic nations states, that we will attack every aspect of their economy. Pipelines will be destroyed, oil exporting ports will be blockaded and mined, trucks conveys will become smoking datum points, there will be no phone, radio, TV, etc. Nothing will come out of their electric sockets except memories, and more.
Also, importantly, show the locals how the people in the neighboring “good country” are living.
Process takes about 4 to 6 years for a total reversal of attitude and direction of the population.

You are right, it is not torture. And waterboarding does work.
BUT, torture does work. And I’ve seen it a more effective means of extracting information. Especially when you have multiple suspects and present the same questions.
Boogyman? Seriously? It is already happening here (there are areas in Michigan under nominal sharia law). It already controls small enclaves in Europe. It is a simple matter of immigration rates and relative birth rates.
If a sunni or shia tells you they do not want sharia law they are either engaging in Taqiyya or they are apostate. The central goal of islam is not mass conversion but rather the imposition of sharia law. So yes - ALL.

If I told you in the 1930’s that there were going to be gay pride parades in SF where men would bugger each other in public - you would have told me - it will never happen here.
Actually I probably would of told you that. The issue at hand is whether or not the quote unquote freedom affects someone else. Gay pride parades do not hurt me, I may disagree with them but they certainly don’t hurt me. Sharia law takes Western Society’s rule of law and puts it outside of our normal process. Honor killings and on and on would never be tolerated here. Honor killings and sharia law are not the same thing.
That said, there are credible reports of honor killings in Dearborn MI being covered up. So your assertion it will never happen here is probably already untrue.

But first tell me, what, according to all orthodox teaching by both sunni and shia imams, is the central tenet of islam? The main goal. The target they are all aiming for?
Is it to spread the word of allah? To convert infidels? To live upright before allah?
It is a simple question.
