This is somewhat fitting. A big money journalist that made a career of self promotion and of hiding his bias. Should never have been broadcast as a reporter, correspondent, anchor or news-reader that he claimed to be as he was always an opinion columnist and hack.

This pinnacle of the leftist media always knew for decades what you needed to think. He spent his life twisting national perception to make it happen. During that career just one of his high notes was a 30 year long effort to make the Vietnam military vet look like a crazy person - first to slander military service in general, and second to control all experience from that conflict.

He IS fake-news. He owns it.
