Part human, part pig embryos have been successfully created by scientists for the first time.
The embryos, that were grown inside a sow, contained a 'low' amount of human tissue.
But it is hoped one day this technique will allow whole organs in the pig to be grown of human cells, to tackle the increasing shortage of organs for transplants. The ‘chimera’, or human-animal hybrid, was created by injecting human stem cells into pig embryos and then implanting them in a sow.
The human stem cells grew and formed part of the tissue of the pig embryos, although they did not become piglets as they were removed at 28 days.
The amount of human tissue that grew in the pig embryos was ‘low’, researchers said.

And like I said, this is just the stuff we hear about. Who knows what’s been done. Decades ago, the Russians and others beheaded dogs/monkeys and kept the heads alive and took video (I don’t suggest you Google that.) There are people on this planet who are inhuman. They would think nothing twice of making a pig with a human brain. They would applaud themselves, George Soros would give them a grant and say they were doing it for the children. A bright future.
The problem with this sort of genetic research is that it won’t stop with merely the creation of organs for transplant and you know it. The genie’s out of the bottle and all manner of hybridization for other purposes will be done, I suspect first out of the box will be an attempt to create superhuman soldiers. Your trust in the innate benevolence of medical science is touching, but the past century contains its own set of horrors that tend to indicate otherwise.

We can't help but do evil, but it's not what God intends. I could go walk outside and push an old lady into traffic if I felt like it. Or mess with your genes and give you 12 eyes (you would be able to see 360 degrees) God would not be pleased

Agreed. I’m not sure why creating human hearts, kidneys etc. in pigs for use in savings humans’ lives is an affront to all Christians either.
God gave us the knowledge and techniques to potentially save lives.
I’m not too worried about a race of pig men. And if they do create them, like one freeper said, we can use them to invade Iran :)

The day after the first flight by the Wright Brothers the front page of the NYT featured long stories by phycicists about how flight by men not only hadn't occured but was IMPOSSIBLE.

Because it's a logical extension of the research for an amoral or immoral researcher. Are you aware of just how many robotics advances had their origin in research into giving soldiers "superhuman" capabilities? It's not a far-fetched thought, no matter how hard you try to tinfoil it.
This is only objectionable until your child is in need of an organ transplant.
I took a date to that movie, she never spoke to me again. I had no clue how f'ed that movie was. The advertising made it look like an adventure kind of movie. Yeah it was an adventure all right.
