WASHINGTON — President Trump will order the construction of a Mexican border wall on Wednesday, White House officials said, and is mulling plans to stop Syrian refugees from entering the country and to slash immigration of refugees from “terror prone” nations, perhaps as early as this week.

During an appearance at the Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday, Mr. Trump plans to sign an executive order to direct federal funds to be shifted toward the building of a wall on the southern border that became a signature promise of his campaign. He has argued that doing so is vital to gaining control over the illegal flow of immigrants into the United States.

When I read that headline, I thought ...wow...that would make a great entree in a restaurant. “I’m going to order the Mexican Border Wall.”

I’m so exhausted. Almost to the point of wanting a break.

At this point in the Obama administration, he would have played golf at least 4 times.

BUILD IT!
When he said “tired of winning” I didn’t think he meant “you’re gonna laugh until you pass out.”

I’m having lunch with a liberal friend tomorrow. It will be...interesting...

Don’t forget to flood/collapse the insane network of tunnels below the border.

I don’t think he spends 18 hours a day. I think he uses people effectively and delegates by allowing people to deal with the details as he goes after the bigger picture. He trusts his people because he’s that good at reading/picking people and acts quickly when they head in the wrong direction.

In addition, he’s a man of action so the past ~3 months since the win he’s not been just congratulating himself and his team, he rolled up his sleeves and has been working that entire time putting together the paperwork. Now he just has to sign a paper and announce it. He likely has stuff ready for the next month in this manner. In the meantime he’s actually working on the next thing that will be signed once he thinks it’s ready for the 2nd month. I imagine things won’t slow down till May/June time frame when he takes a small break with his family.

I see him working 12 hour days right now, since his son headed back to NY for school. Of that about 4 is just having dinner with people and reading them to see where potential hurdles are going to come from for the big pushes he’ll need on Taxes/Tariffs. I see that likely as the 3rd wave in late March/April.

Remember the guy is 70. Energy or not, the body can only do so much and the last thing I want is to have him wear out before his term(s) are up. I think he gets a few power naps and a solid 8 every day. I also think he doesn’t stress over a lot of things. He makes up his mind, doesn’t second guess, and moves forward. He’ll make some mistakes, but just as in his business he’ll correct them quickly.

Our people are beginning to have more backbone too. Sometimes it just takes a leader.

A few days ago, I heard one dear older lady blurt out, “Thank God we don’t have to be PC anymore!” Then all in her midst started expressing relief that, “those days are finally over.”

Yes. Yes.

I have often wondered why our National Guard doesn’t rotate units from all 50 states for 2 weeks or so at a time.

The mere presence of our military folks along the border would in itself be a deterrent especially to the cartels.

I still don’t think he’s a down-the- line conservative in that I don’t believe he identifies problems and looks to conservative values to address them. I think he’s a pragmatist whos determined that our current problems are best fixed with certain solutions supported by conservatives.

There are likely times coming where he will push for some action which is not doctrinaire conservative. I’m ok with that - I don’t expect any politician to agree with me 100% - the most important thing is that on the big stuff, he agrees with us, he pushes our solutions and does so with great force and speed.
