Mike Cernovich Files Lawsuit to Unseal Records in Jeffrey Epstein Pedophile Case

A woman who claimed that New York financier Jeffrey Epstein trafficked her for sex when she was a teenager may pursue a lawsuit accusing British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of defamation for calling her allegations lies, a U.S. judge ruled. In a decision on Monday night, U.S. District Judge Robert Sweet in Manhattan denied Maxwell’s request to dismiss Virginia Giuffre’s lawsuit.

Ghislaine Maxwell filed a 70-page motion for summary judgment with the court under seal. As the civil lawsuit is a public proceeding, the case should never have been sealed.

The courts belong to the people, not the parties. The First Amendment demands that court proceedings be open to the public. How can a free press do its job in keeping a watchful eye over the workings of government if those workings are sealed? There may be rare circumstances where limited amounts of information are subject to redaction. But, for a motion for summary judgment to be entirely under seal? Even the CIA releases documents with a few words un-redacted.

Why isn’t the New York Times filing lawsuits involving pedophiles? Where is the Washington Post? Where, for that matters, is the Associated Press? Does Jeffrey Epstein have some dirt on our media CEOs and leading journalists?

I spoke about this before the election and was told basically to shut up because Trump was in on it. We have evidence that Clinton went down to the island 26 times mostly with Secret Service. I felt this would be a slam dunk for the Trump team. Never brought it up. Dershewitz( sp) was accused by eyewitnesses and skated. There are other names like an English Prince. So I posted here for someone to exploit it. I was told to drop it because Trump was involved.

I'm not saying he was, I just didn't understand why it was swept under the rug during the campaign. The evidence for Clinton was right there in the open. seemed like a slam dunk to me.

Well, Mr. K, I was a Cruz supporter here and was banned for awhile for even speaking questions about Trump. If this was a blog searching for the truth, it didn't seem so at the time. I'm a conservative and a member here since Clinton and Waco. To be shouted down like a Dem was an eye opener for me. Getting Trump elected was and maybe still is the primary focus of FR. I voted for Trump and told them I was going to vote for Trump, but was still suspended for a time.

Now to vote for Clinton, I would have to swallow all the crap I knew they were capable of, so it was an easy choice for me to vote for Trump. But I can tell you with my 65 years of experience that the shine will soon fall off Trump as it has for all the others. He was a Dem up until a couple of years ago. His kids couldn't even vote for their dad because they are STILL registered dems. Ivanka will work on her child care give away that we can't pay for. Trump just met with the unions. He's now talking about health care for everyone. I don't yet know where the shine is going to fall off, but it will come.

The whole campaign, he bolstered the dreams of Christians while waving his rainbow flag.

I've enjoyed my stint here with FR, but something happened awhile back and changed the atmosphere here. I've been a member here for a long time and have never been treated like I have for the last year. I figure I don't want to be a member of a conservative "Huffpost". It's Jim's site, not mine. If I'm to be muzzled here, fine. They made it plain that my opinions were not welcome here anymore.

Now re read your post to me. Do you REALLY mean, after all that was done to get Trump elected, that you would rejoice that trash would come out on Trump? I don't expect Trump to walk on water, just do some of the stuff he promised. Does anyone think Pence would build a wall? Pence is a good man, but I think he smells of the old way. He would NEVER be involved in anything immoral, but would roll over for Pelosi thinking "Can't we all just get along?".

If you supported Trump, you had to know what you were getting. It was all hanging out there. If you wanted a preacher, you should have supported Cruz. You had plenty of choices in the primary to pick a saint. After the primary, you punch Rep. That's the way of the world unless you are so unprincipled that you would vote for Hillary, sodomite baby killer that she is. (Romans 1:32) People feel superior when they say they are "Independent", but it really means they have no principles. If you would take Hillary and all that comes with that over Trump, sorry, I'm out. If Cruz will run in 2020, I will support him again. If he's picked for SCOTUS, fine, I'm good with that. If Cruz runs and loses, that the way politics works. But I have no illusions about Trump.

Herman Cain had several women come out against him. When he bowed out, the women stopped. He too is a Christian man that would not have done what they said.
