You know what’s crazy? The city of San Francisco is also the County of San Francisco. There is no part of the county of SF that is not also the city of SF.
Is there any other municipality in the US that has the same outlay? I find it odd, because they have SF police and also SF county sheriffs.
Well, Manhattan is New York County, the Bronx is Bronx County and Queens is Queens County. The other two boroughs are also counties unto themselves (Brooklyn = Kings County and Staten Island = Richmond County).
