Democratic Party rock singer Bruce Springsteen spoke out against President Donald Trump at a concert in Perth, Australia on Sunday, declaring, “We are the new American resistance.”
The show was the opening night of Springsteen and his E Street Band’s ‘Summer 2017’ tour of Australia and New Zealand.

The rally in Sydney, Australia was overshadowed by the skywriting of Trump’s name overhead.

Backstreets reported last week that Springsteen played a two hour private acoustic concert at the White House for President and Mrs. Obama and about 200-250 staffers on January 12.
The Dixie Chicks garnered notoriety for trashing President Bush at a London concert in 2003. While Springsteen is in no danger of facing a similar career nosediving backlash from his fans as the Chicks had a conservative country music fan base, he will still likely face criticism for his overseas attack on President Trump from some quarters.
I tend not to pay attention to entertainers blathering about politics - they tend to be uninformed, parochial, and uniformly leftist. But it’s always helpful if I don’t happen to like the artist anyway - with the exception of “Nebraska”, I never have enjoyed Springsteen or his long-winded New Jersey power ballads. For that matter, I’ve never been able to get into any of the New Jersey bands - Southside Johnny, Bon Jovi, etc - they all sound the same, and that “same” is cringe-worthy arena rock.
Bruce espouses revolutionary causes, but I hear he’s savage if you breach his copyrights.
I sure hope what you say is true, but don’t have any hope in that respect.
If they actively are looking at being a liberal democrat, they aren’t interested in America. They are interested in Marxism and Social Justice, both concepts that are alien to America.
i have often stated the rule of threes applies to liberals, the 2/3 of those who identify as liberal are unreachable, unapproachable, and unconvertible.
The last 1/3 contains a mix of good hearted people, ignorant people, and people who just don’t care. Of those, some of the good hearted people may be “converted”, and some of the ignorant people might be educated.
All in all, it is a small number. Of those 1/3, most who could be made non-liberal, it will happen naturally in a number of them as they get older, make their way in the world, and raise families. Others will actively “get mugged” and see the light.
Ha — somebody had a skywriter write Trump’s name over the Sydney protest. That is awesome. Wonder if Pepe was piloting.
