THE BBC is facing fresh accusations of bias after a Panorama documentary labelled Donald Trump the "Kremlin Candidate".

Good observation. I wonder if he and Sweeney might have crossed paths when Sweeney was making The Mormon Candidate documentary on Romney.

I must credit you for triggering a memory. The Mormon connection is all over this. Bill Kristol tried so hard in 'vain' to get somebody, anybody to jump into the race... McMuffin a political unknown, was a distraction, given who he really is.

I think they took what was fed to Wilson, who shopped it all over the media. Everyone that was anyone, kept saying NO way would Trump win, with a smirk on their face... We all have read what was fed to Wilson, nothing substantial to have 'breaking' news... No one, yet, is admitting to taking the Wilson material across the pond, and getting it re-packaged, for lord McCain to bring the dirties back home. McMullin is one who fits the resume to interact with British intel.

Romney, whose net worth is $250 million, has also been suggested as a candidate for the "wealthy Republican donor who strongly opposed Mr. Trump" who initially hired Fusion GPS in September 2015 to do opposition research on Trump, reportedly on behalf of Jeb Bush per the BBC (who later retracted the Bush identification). I don't know how well this fits the timeline of Romney/Bush relations, which I'm checking into. Romney and Bush met in January 2015 to discuss their plans for their 2016 campaigns. By June 2015, Romney was considering Bush and Rubio as his leading choices but was planning not to endorse anyone during the primaries. But in late February 2016, papers reported that Romney was planning to endorse Rubio in a final bid to defeat Trump. It would strengthen the case if there were any evidence of Romney funding Bush between summer/fall 2015 and the time Romney decided to endorse Rubio.
