The Obama administration approved another $500 million contribution for a United Nations' climate fund on Tuesday, a move that is expected to infuriate Republicans who have sought to stop the payments.

Environmental groups applauded the contribution and warned the incoming Trump administration not to reverse the U.S.'s obligations to support the fund.

"The incoming Trump administration and Congress must not play politics with the moral and legal obligation of the U.S. to provide assistance through the Green Climate Fund for those whose lives and livelihoods are today being devastated by climate change," said Friends of the Earth.

I wonder what the contribution amounts from other countries are.. We are probably taking it in the shorts again.
Where is the Congressional approval? Is this another one of Obama’s special funds that has no accountability? Like the $100Million to his Foundation to be distrucuted later to African women? Trump should shut these people down ASAP. Looks like he isn’t going to get any help from Congress.
I thought that only congress could authorize money for anything. What’s up with this worthless waste of money?

The Senate never ratified the Paris accord so Trump is within his rights to reverse Obama’s midnight payment to the UN.
I am counting down the hours until this festering boil vacates the White House.
Trump on Friday should demand the UN return the money or all foreign diplomats will be deported immediately.
I did not know that the executive branch could spend money.

You gotta wonder what he has in store for the next four days. I’m still a bit concerned that he could be saving the “best” for last.

We share the same concern that Obama has a final “Middle Finger” for America that he’ll wave in the final day or hours before Trump takes the Oath of Office.
The Economic Support Fund appropriation is being used, as it was for the first half billion payment.
Assuming there’s that much in the fund, Obama seem’s to be following the law.
I think it would be fun to arrange to have Billy Dale wave to them goodbye from the front steps!

Another check Trump will have to call in a “stop check” with the bank on Friday.
I took it back to his house to get my check back and there was nobody there. I left the car and the title and the keys and left a note telling him I’d just stop payment on the check. It was a Sunday.
My bank only had one branch. The drive through opened at 8:00 but the branch opened at 9. Just to be safe, I showed up at the drive-up window at 7:30 Monday morning to make sure I could stop it just in case (I was a little nervous about the character of the group there).
Five minutes later, he pulls up behind me to cash the check. When he saw who he was, his wife got out of the car and came up to my car and read us the riot act about being honest and stuff. She then threw the check at me. Saved me from the stop check fee.
Hope Trump can get to the bank in time. :-)
