Senator Dan Coats (R-IN) asked Koskinen about the process, and for the commissioner to explain the logic behind giving tax refunds to illegal aliens who have committed a theft of a tax-payer’s identification number.

Koskinen’s response, according to the Washington Examiner, was that it was in everybody’s interest to have the illegal aliens pay taxes with stolen id’s.

One of my jobs was to provide computer support to three union payrolls. I discovered that many people using same SSN. I was told to just shut up about it. This was in the late 80’s or early 90’s. It outraged me so much that I have never forgotten.

Remember we couldn't locate Mesta Machine's name on the Social Security Death Index and then discovered no names had been posted since ... 2013 or 2014.

Someone had to make it happen, and the social security numbers that illegals are using had to come from 'somewhere'.

One theory is because the 'no longer listed' deceased's names and SS# are now being used by illegals. Are those same illegals also drawing social security, retirement, medical, and other benefits that would be sent to the original beneficiaries if they were still alive?

That the Commissioner knows, and yet allows criminal behavior, makes the Commissioner chargeable for criminal facilitation.
It is a violation of the "Law of the Land" upon which this republic is based
This is the same kind of behavior that identifies this lame duck administration, for which the electorate said : "You're outta here !".

They aren’t using it to pay taxes, they are filling to get an Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). They only declare enough to qualify and the balance of their income stays under the table.
