The Democratic Party has created their own demise. Beginning with McGovern in 1972 the party has lurched ever leftward until they represent mostly a lunatic fringe that has little in common with most Americans...hence Hillary’s defeat. Their shop worn message of “fighting” for perpetual victims isn’t playing well anymore as people are realizing that despite the rhetoric these alleged victims never gain anything. The media long sympathetic with the Democratic Party, has ceased all resemblance of being objective and has become the party propaganda apparatus. However, the new media and the Internet has made the mainstream media irrelevant. Unless the Democratic Party goes back to the vision of JFK and the foreign policy views of Scoop Jackson it is doomed.

As Napoleon said, never interrupt the enemy when they are making a mistake.

Also there are racial identity politics issues. Is the next candidate supposed to be a woman, or a latino? Did woman already have their chance but blow it and they skip to latinos?

Jehmu Greene also wants the job.

It will go to the one who can show himself or herself as the most obnoxious.
